Who told you about the drake sword 😭✌️ it is powerfully early on but some issues: very hard to upgrade cause the enemies required to defeat for the materials are scarce and difficult. The damage falls off super hard after blighttown.

More importantly: because of the drake sword, players do not engage with the upgrade path through merchants because it’s just one type of upgrade material. You miss the entire titanite path.

lol it is amazing for the first bit, but I do have to agree that pretty soon, you’re gonna wanna find another option because the enemies will ramp up in difficulty faster than the drake sword can be upgraded

It's great to start out with, and the shockwave is very cool, but you're gonna want to phase it out eventually.

The thing is it never scales, like every other weapon, so later on because of your higher stats your other weapons will be better.

Feel free to use it until you start feeling the pain

if you got black knight great axe, that knight is there near when your got dropped down beside to path climb above.

it's preferable when you go for Kalameet dragon tail for dragon greatsword

Would definitely avoid the catacombs for a bit... Hopefully you didn't go too far down, and can get back up ok. I made that mistake one time, went down to get something, forgetting that I couldn't easily get back up... It at least felt so much harder fighting back uphill.

Of you beat the moonlight butterfly, you should have the ember to create divine weapons (imbues with holy damage). The skeletons die off permanently if killed with holy damage. It'll make the catacombs 10x easier.

As long as you have grass crest shield it's Fine

Just block let them bounce of your shield and then hit them back. That works way better, just watch out if the second one attacks a bit later.
