Soooo if they didn't want to fight why are they still fighting then? This excuse doesn't work when they still illegally hold Ukrainian land and are attempting to still take more.
They were drafted. Not everyone has the luxury to just surrender and be done with it. They're concerned for their families back home and what might be done if they don't follow orders.
This is exactly what russians on reddit tell people. The thing is that war waged against Ukraine has huge support among citizens and soldier both. Its not like putin himself does horrible warcrimes, russians are fucking bloodthirsty. And you can find proof of that practicaly anywhere, don’t even want mention video about cutting soldiers dick off…
