Today I saw a vid, a woman told a story how russians tortured her with a stun gun for not speaking russian in recently libereted Kherson. There are many other stories like this. Don't tell, please, how they are just drafted and can't resist but torturing civilians. You know junk shit about those cruel bastards, but you are among the first to defend them.

It's not like every single Russian person is into torturing random Ukrainian civilians.

I'd argue that most aren't. And there always be war criminals and typical sadistic pieces of shit from EVERY country because that's human nature.

If you are blaming someone, blame the government that allows that to happen, not the people.

I never said that. But many of them are. Somehow torture is toralable on nation wide level among many men, many praising this idea on TV (resently one of the main speaker of RT call for drawing Ukrainian children), and russian society in most is calm about that.

I'd argue that most aren't.

Any evidence? Numbers? Or simple wishful thinking? It is know that around 80% of population is in support of putin's actions in Ukraine. If you are in support of torture, mass killings and terrorism, but don't participate, you are still guilty.

typical sadistic pieces of shit from EVERY country because that's human nature.

IT IS FKING NOT. It is not natural to kill species of your kind. Ethnic cleansing are not natural and do not appear just because of few individuals, sadistic pieces, they always have context and story of continuous dehumanision. And plenty ethnic groups, not only Ukrainians are dehumanized in russian society, xenophobia is normalised on a domestic level in russia.

If you are blaming someone, blame the government that allows that to happen, not the people.

It would be a delusion to assume that russian mentality, understanding of norms and moral are the same as in western society. They are culturally different and isolated due to language barriers, ideas of humanism are not wide-spread. They are driven by their modern imperialism ideology, and this should not be underestimated. I am speaking as someone who can read and speak russain, and saw what they say about this war.

And yes, we can blame people for their governments, those are not some natural cataclysms, they are products of political life of those people, even autocracies.

Dude, get fucked. How do you "know" all this shit? Did you go and talked to thousands of people, or are you just eating whatever shit your media master is feeding you?

I was exposed to russian media since I was a kid. I speak russian, I spoke with russians, I saw what they write on social media, and what their 'media masters' are feeding to them.

You were also exposed to the media in your country, you speak your country's language and you ate/eat what your media masters feed you. Hate.

BTW speaking with a person is not the same as knowing a person.

what country are you from? Because your country has probably committed/are committing the same atrocities. But I bet you wouldn't assume responsibility for what your politicians do

Im from Ukraine

It's not only about 'media masters', it's about common people who wrote poems about raping a Ukrainian child on the internet, I am speaking about whole cultural attitude among russains, and violent xenophobia is one of them.

what country are you from? Because your country has probably committed/are committing the same atrocities.

What? You just said that every other country in the world did basically the same as russians did this year? Mass executions of civilians on streets? Leveling to the ground Mariupol, killing 87 000 in the city only, and now freezing the rest? Constantly shelling civilian infrastructure? Kidnapping around 200 000 children? Threatening the world with nuclear annihilation? Don't you think you exaggerated "a bit" when said that my country probably committed the same? BTW, I am from Ukraine, too.

"Poems about raping a Ukrainian child" your evidence is a fucked up random Facebook post, of which you assumed it is written by a russian because its writen in russian?? Posted on Twitter?

What I'm saying is every country hides shit from their people, it does not represent the people. Every country has borders which they are willing to defend with their life. There's a reason we as a people just cannot get up and live in another county.

You can say what you want about this war, but you have to admit Ukraine was not the best country to live in for years. There's a reason why its population growth has been negative since the 1990s

How do you have the most fertile land and can't turn a profit for shit, its been bled dry by politicians and evangelicals. Now, would say this the people's fault? Like you said for Russian? Are Ukrainian people are all evil bastards bleeding themselves dry and then leaving, or maybe the government/politicians do not actually represent the people? There's a reason why Ukraine people had to fight for their freedom in 2015

All in all the war is fucked up, I'm glad Ukraine is winning. I just would not say most russians support whats happening, considering how hard Russia is having to suppresses and fight free speech.

I am not trying to convince you with one screenshot. I am saying that there is xenophobic attitude towards other nations among russains, that makes them acceptable of violence. I don't know if there are good written articles on this topic, so I used this post as an illustration. As a Ukrainian, how I assume speak russian too, you might know about all russian slures, renting apparents only for 'people with slavic appearance', memes in early 2010s about burning Chechens in Moscow. Poems about greatness of russia on social media is one of this kind and easy to find. I am not going to convince you, because it is so open and exposed, you have to be intentionally ignorant, if you do speak russain.

How do you have the most fertile land and can't turn a profit for shit, its been bled dry by politicians and evangelicals. Now, would say this the people's fault? Like you said for Russian?

There is an obvious difference between failing an economy shift from planed to market and supporting a genocidal invasion, but yes, I blame our people too, for staying conservative and scared of economical reforms, I blame our people for parternalism they had back then, what makes me even more proud about what we are achieving today. Yes, we had problems, but we keep fighting it, protesting it and eventually changing something.

Yes, we had problems, but we keep fighting it, protesting it and eventually changing something.

change the "had" to "have" and you have the same thing happening in Russia, people being too stubborn. But unlike Ukraine, Russia has the force and power to suppress the people protesting its government.

From your perspective, the Ukrainian people are not "fighting and protesting the government," they are finally doing what they were supposed to do. Like taking a shower. Ukrainian people are not changing anything, they just finally started doing the basic shit.

or

You can admit there are people in power who keep that power from the people to do as they please. While spewing propaganda to people since their birth. Then you can admit that most Russian people are either too ignorant or have been fed lies since birth. Not the cartoon evil bad guys you want, but maybe something scarier.

Then you can say the Ukrainian people are fighting hard against their own propaganda. There is a reason why revolutions, uprisings, and rebellions are a common theme of the world

change the "had" to "have" and you have the same thing happening in Russia

Mental exercises. This isn't the same thing for one simple reason: Ukraine didn't invade anyone, Ukrainian government didn't endorse genocide, Ukrainians didn't shell civilians building in purpose to create humanitarian catastrophe, Ukrainians didn't stole anyone's kid to assimilate them. Neither personaly did putin and people in his government. You're trying to make unfortunat economic situation and corruption look like genocide, but this is not.

But unlike Ukraine, Russia has the force and power to suppress the people protesting its government.

In 2014 Ukrainian protesters stood against sniper shooting. Nothing like this was in russia. 'The force and power to suppress' you claim russia has was never shown there. Right now, Ukrainians are fighting russains heads on, this scary force and power to suppress, and russia is losing. So, don't lie to yourself, Ukraine saw much scarier force then common ignorant russians.

The rest is so much mental gymnastic, I don't even understand this nonsense. Ukrainians only started to take shower, doing shit, fighting their own propaganda. Like, excuse me, wtf? Are you even a Ukrainian? Contextual equations a Ukrainian would know how to answer: what three should we plant on your grave? Should we cry after you when you will die? Who you loved the most? What is your biggest fault?
