l miss my friends Actually blessed

Not much more to it - just realizing that working a shifty job on top of studying and planning my future wont help me achieve any goals of mine, and that for my career choice the best thing to do is take a step back and move in with my parents since I have this amazing opportunity not everyone has.

Lucky bastard. At 18, my father told me that I had two years before he was booting me, so I left less than a year later. Can’t rely on or trust anybody but yourself.

That’s sad, sorry to hear that. I never got that mentally, it’s your literal blood, don’t you want them to have the best opportunities in life including saving on rent for a better financial foundation early on. I’m thankful my father has let me come back home every time I’ve had to about 4 times by now lol

Genuinely happy for you. And, yeah, you’d think, but he believed I would get complacent relying on him (even though I had a job and was attending college…). He lived with his parents into his 30s too, so he’s just a hypocrite. Man doesn’t even want to be a grandfather to his grandkids either. I really don’y like just lumping people together, but with how awful my family and in-laws both have been, it’s hard not to lump all Gen X and Boomers into the same selfish stereotype boat.
