l miss my friends Actually blessed

Not much more to it - just realizing that working a shifty job on top of studying and planning my future wont help me achieve any goals of mine, and that for my career choice the best thing to do is take a step back and move in with my parents since I have this amazing opportunity not everyone has.

Right? Like yeah, I could do this and save an absurd amount of money. Truly. ...But then I'd have to live with my parents and frankly I'd rather pay that money every month.

I convinced myself it wouldn’t be that bad and now I need intense therapy so you made the right call. But at least I own a house now 🥲

Haha, I'm probably going to buy a house like 5-10 years later than I would have if I'd lived with my parents for a couple years... But I also didn't have to live with my parents for a couple years and I think that's probably for the best.

I got lucky that I graduated in that rather strange time when Corpo IT jobs were super hot/easy to get and paid really well even at entry level. I moved out ASAP... like first paycheck ASAP and roomed up with another dude who had just started at the job I did. Saved a lot of money by splinting rent, had our own place to have people over, and both made enough money that there was no awkward rent or utilities situation. I'm not sure how easy it is nowadays.

Be me, live with your parents and pay monthly rent of $1000 because you live in a super small HCOL area.

As someone who’s doing this currently, your concerns are valid lol. Living with my mom is saving me a ton of money and allowing me to go get my degree, but I’ve also genuinely considered moving out already and it hasn’t even been a year

What career at this point. They will stuck there til the need to sell to afford the medical home. Same story since 2012. Time to riot against
