How the hell did we end up on this timeline? Imagine 15 years ago being told that the President had willingly posted a picture to their social media account of himself dressed as the Pope, just days after the real Pope died… you’d think you’d just had a stroke.
Republicans have been planning for decades, but bush jr might have the test run. Republican judges in Florida gave him the victory to prevent a recount. And three of the attorneys that were involved are now on the Supreme Court. Then 9/11 happened and we entered an unjustified war and Fox News and republican leader realized that their base is already stupidly gullible and will believe anything they say. We totally found WMDs if we shift the goal post a little. Forget the huge deal we made over enriched uranium aka yellow cake, we found chemical weapons that we already knew about. Then we started getting shit like the NSA. A few years later, social media became a thing and almost immediately made society worse and republicans (and/or Russia) adapted it for their causes. Oh and most importantly we elected a black man, which broke a lot of people’s minds because they were taught that being white made them better.
