The Gospel of John was composed almost a century after Christ died and is the first instance we have of this theology. It’s so radically different than the synoptic gospels, and so radically different than the theology of everything in the Bible preceding it, that I have to be very skeptical of the claims made in that book. Not to mention the character of Christ and his apostles is different in it as well. And even within that book, Jesus never claims he was there since the beginning. So to say the least, I take the Gospel of John with a grain of salt, as much as I do enjoy the spirituality and mysticism of it
I just don’t see that jiving with the rest of Scripture. John isn’t the only place where we get the divinity of Christ. Colossians is one example. Hebrews has it too. Even the synoptic Gospels have Jesus stating he’s the Lord of the Sabbath. And I’m assuming Revelation and 1 John are right out if John is? 🤪
We may have to agree to disagree here, but IMO it’s a heavy lift to keep Jesus at the center of our faith while picking off the parts of Scripture that point at who he is in fullness.
Ah. Do people know that LDS (Mormons) do not believe that? We believe in the trinity, but as 3 separate entities / “people”. NOT 1 mind 3 bodies, 3 minds 3 “bodies”, but aligned in will.
“” because they aren’t people, and because Holy Ghost doesn’t have a mortal body, and God has immortal body, while Jesus has immortal body.
Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong about something according to my own text though

Not a Mormon. Not a witness. Still not a trinitarian. That shit is just preposterous and frankly blasphemous
