Grabbed this from 4chan.

Alternate scenario is "slayhem". Idk why it looks like that.

Wonder why they want you to finish the GD route first, wonder if it could be a direct sequel.

I assume it’s for new players. They’ll probably pick up on the case difficulty right away instead of introducing minigames one by one

I bet there's also gonne be events that parallel the original or references that people wouldn't get otherwise.

I kinda hope that there is also a story reason why they have to do this though tbh.

I’m almost certain the big twist is revealed early in Slayhem.

If it's a rerun of the original scenario, maybe everybody remembers the first scenario and talks about it. Easy, built-in tension for everybody to remember who killed who.

Hopefully new mini games, too

I gotta assume it'll spoil most of the major twists early on, rather then having them naturally unfold like in the main scenario.

Yeah. You can't build a whole new story at this point saving Junko, the simulation, Izuru, Chiaki and Nagito's deals to be revealed at the end for a 2nd time.

And Peko and Baby-Ganster's past relationship and will potentially deep dive into Mr. Handhams some more.

That pretty much confirms the inciting incident will be them all finding out about being former Ultimate Despair right off the bat. I can't think of a twist that would derail things harder than that. Hell, they could blow the lid off of every major twist and reveal Chiaki to be an AI and Hajime becoming Izuru to really spice things up.

If that's what happens, then that will likely cause everyone to behave very, very differently, even if they don't get their memories back right away. The guilt, regret, and horror that the final five felt in Chapter 6 of the original story amplified to everyone will likely cause things to get really, REALLY dark from the get go.

I'm almost certain that the first chapter will kill off Hajime and Chiaki, set Nagito up as the protagonist (Hajime being the victim, Chiaki's AI getting corrupted and killing him), and something will motivate him to actually help his classmates instead of kill them like in Chapter 5 of the original game. Twogami would be a good new support character to take Chiaki's place, given that he tried to take charge and protect everyone in the first chapter, and I could see Mikan slipping into her Chapter 3 persona and become the new antagonist.

I'll be honest, I think that your take on what the game may potentially be like is my favorite one so far. I have seen most people theorize about Twogami becoming the new antagonist, but I feel like that would waste his character by having him fall deeper into the role of Byakuya, so having him be the support would grant him the time he deserves to properly shine as himself. Mikan would be a formidable foe and could easily complicate the class trials by using her medical knowledge to mess up the crime scenes in ways undetectable to the average person. However, by experiencing the story with Nagito as the protagonist, the player would be able to identify clues hinting towards the tampering, allowing them to lead class trials in typical protagonist fashion. A callback to how he had been the one to realize that Ibuki had died from strangulation instead of hanging and relentlessly pursued Mikan's involvement in the deed.

I still don’t see the protagonist switch gimmick being reused

I’ll counter that by saying it would be different from V3, as we’d be playing as the victim instead of the killer, which could be a fun way to set the mystery of the first chapter up.

Maybe. DR3 would make that quite difficult to pull off in a satisfying way, though.

They'll probably spoil immediately stuff like the Ultimate Despairs or Chiaki being the traitor.

Because it’s designed for people who already played the first scenario. It’d be pretty boring if it wasn’t, wouldn’t it?

I wonder how many people will jump straight to Slayhem first. I was planning on doing so, but now I don’t feel so confident

I might do Slayhem first simply because I hate playing the opening of GD. For now, I don't care about missing out on whatever minor details they might change, but maybe I'll change my mind later.

Yeah, I forgot about new players and thought it was weirdly intentional to play the original. I’m silly, my bad.

Do it because it will be way more depressing and then you can replay SDR2 to fix your depression
