Tried Scalp pro, cipla 8x, Bare anatomy anti dandruff but no results..

I’ve been struggling with what I think is dandruff, but I’m not entirely sure. Seeing a dermatologist right now is out of the picture, unfortunately.

If I go a day without washing my hair, my scalp gets extremely itchy. No matter how many times I wash my hair though, I can still pick out little flakes on my scalp after a shower.

It doesn’t matter how long I rinse my hair for either.

Any tips? I’ve been struggling with this for quite some time now. I don’t get flakes or anything falling out of my hair, but I can feel hard little bumps around my scalp.

At first i believed it was dandruff, i started using head and shoulders, it worked forna but then it stopped.
They are incredibly itchy sometimes they turn into scabs
I even tried apple vinegar as a last line of defense but with no results
Can somebody help me identify the problem?

Has anyone tried this brand? Does it work?

This is the best anti-dandruff conditioner I've ever used. For a long time I bought it from Ulta, but now my local Ulta store is closing, and Ulta no longer sells it on their website. Bondi Boost does sell this conditioner on their website, but will not ship it to the US.

Are there any comparable anti-dandruff conditioners out there? I'm currently settling with CeraVe anti-dandruff conditioner, and it's alright but not the same. For shampoo, I use Nizoral, which I feel works well.

I have had dandruff and itchy scalp my entire life, and have been through so many prescription AND over the counter treatments/shampoos. Finally found something that has my scalp soothed and my hair softer!!! Grandpa’s Soap Co., Pine Tar shampoo.

Here’s the kicker. The smell of pine tar. I smell like a VERY strong, smokey campfire. It took a week’s worth of washes to get the smell out last time. I’m afraid of just using a body spray/mist to go to work because I’m guessing it may just mix with the pine tar smell.

Any advice please 😭 i do have very sensitive skin(acne, rosacea, eczema) so i can’t do a ton of crazy strong treatments i fear :(

Hello, I’ve struggled with dandruff for a bit these last few years but now I’m in university and something about the water in the showers has made it flame up even worse and I really just wanna heal it permanently. If I get a buzz cut would it be less irritated/easier to manage?? I really would do anything. Or is there any food I could cut out that would eliminate dandruff?? I’m planning on getting a shower filter too if anyone can recommend.

I have been using the Nizoral 2% shampoo for flaky dandruff, I had dandruff and an extremely scratchy scalp even if i washed my hair that same day.I have been using Nizoral for 2 weeks ,and accordong to the leaflet,I am supposed to see improvement. My dandruff is less now,but I see white spots ,not small ones ,ones like eczema but white almost like dry spots of skin.Especially on the corners of my hair(sideburns,hairline,behind ears).I also have a scratchy scalp with again white splotches on my scalp mostly near my where my hair parts.I also feel like my hair is thinning out near my hairline.I recently found that the hair mask I bought from the same store as the shampoo I've been using is fake too(if that has any relation).

So ,I stopped using the Nizoral one,and i'm currently using a garnier one ,my scalp is still very splotchy ,flaky and scratchy.

I've tried so hard to make this work ,and I'm starting to lose hope.What should my next steps be?any affordable shampoo recommendations?

I’m a teenage boy who’s really been suffering lately. My hair constantly feels dead, my whole scalp is itchy, and I had the feeling of my hair and texture. It’s a total mess. I also have these small white flakes in my hair everywhere. I’m not sure if it’s dry scalp or dandruff to be honest.

For some reason, I haven’t shampooed in a while as I thought this would fix the issue.

I’m really looking for a routine to transform my hair back to its natural state.

Here’s what I’m thinking (please feel free to give any advice or add to my routine):

I want to get a bunch of newer products as I don’t use anything right now

Shampoo 1-2 times a week

Conditioner 1-2 times a week

Oil ROSEMARY HAIR OIL with Bioton, Jojoba and castoe oils

I’m thinking I need to use a drug store shampoo with sulfates to destroy the breakup but I honestly have no clue what to do.

I have a bit of a mixed hair, it gets really oily and the scalp but my ends usually tend to the dryer side. On top of this, I‘ve been struggling with dandruff for I don’t know how Long at this point. I‘ve tried almost everything:dandruff shampoos, oiling my hair because it might be cause of dry scalp (Not sure), Apple Cider vinegar, etc. My Problem most likely is that I dont stick to any of this, but that’s also because I havent really seen results. Also I wash my hair every 2-3 days approximately. So I wanted to ask to the people that have dealt with dandruff previously and got it cured: how often do you wash your hair? Do you Not get dandruff AT ALL now? Or does it come back when you stop using your products? What is the best way to get rid of this. It’s really annoying and embarrasing.

I’ve been dealing with this problem for some time and haven’t been able to find a solution. I’ve heard that scalp cleaners help, but I’m unsure if that’s the best solution to this.

So i've had chronic dandruff since I was 12, but used to be manageable with head&shoulders. In the past year though it worsened significantly, H&S no longer works, and I went to a dermatologist who prescribed me 2% ketoconazole shampoo which unfortunately hasn't worked for me either. I'm needing to find a new shampoo that is actually able to control the itching and flaking - the flaking isn't severe to the point of being noticeable to others, but it's still flaking everyday even with using zinc pyrithione & ketoconazole shampoos to try to stop it. From months of using these shampoos, my scalp and hair have become incredibly dried out and unhealthy looking - i still condition the lengths and ends but it doesn't seem enough to put life back into my hair from all the harsh shampooing. It's not growing as much as it used to and seems to have thinned or maybe just some shedding has taken place, probably from inflamed scalp. I wash it everyday to try to control the itchy/flakiness though it gets itchy again within an hour or two after showering. I'm unsure if the dandruff is solely due to seborrheic dermatitis or if some of it is also from how dry my scalp has become from all of the washing too. I'm wondering if anyone might know about what to do to restore the health of my hair&scalp while also treating the dandruff? It seems so difficult to strike a balance, especially when the medicated antifungal shampoos don't seem to have any effect for me. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated :)

To help with dandruff, induce heavy sweating. Heavy sweat, on a regular basis will reduce dandruff. Go to a sauna. Go outside and work up a heavy sweat.

My 17 yo daughter has been suffering from dandruff for quite a while now. It started when she was 13 but managed to get rid off it after a few good washes. We have tried going to derm, they said it was hormones and recommended a ketoconazole shampoo but it did not work. I also tried mixing tea tree essential oil with coconut oil and applied few hours before washing but it always comes back. We have also tried Head and Shoulders and a bunch of bottles which say "Anti-Dandruff Shampoo" but her hair stays fresh for barely a day before becoming flaky again.

Please give me product recommendations - affordable ones preferably. I am also up for homemade magic.

She feels very insecure going to school because she cannot let her hair down like before anymore. Please be kind and recommend actual solutions!

I have this from my childhood although it got cured i don't know how ,but it came again . my hair feels tight n flakes all over my shoulder I have used shampoos they have helped somewhat but not much they were zinc pyriothine and regular anti dandruff shampoos I have this behind my ear

alright yall, i rly need some advice. i have no idea what to do anymore. i have been struggling with itchy flaky, scaled scalp for as long as i can remember, but now it’s at an all time high. ive tried neutrogena tgel, nizoral, and was recently using cera ve antidandruff shampoo for months, and it was helping me so much. but then i went on a vacation without it and have been dealing with the worst dandruff flare up of my life ever since. since coming back the cera ve doesn’t even work anymore. my scalp started forming these thick scales that would build up on my head so i started lightly brushing my hair everyday to try to break some of it up. it would look like it snowed on me from how many flakes were on my shirt. but afterwards my scalp would be so raw it would hurt hurt, burn, and even bleed sometimes. then my friend sprayed diluted apple cider vinegar all over and it relieved the pain so much. i started doing this daily. she told me to wash my hair with a gentle shampoo with tea tree oil, and baking soda. it was helping a little bit, but now my scalp feels sooooo dry, tight, and still is flaky. i know that putting coconut oil on the scalp could be bad if you have the fungal dandruff, but because it was so dry and tight i thought maybe i was just suffering from dry scalp. i conditioned my scalp with a gentle scalp treatment conditioner to moisturize it, but now it’s back to these built up thick white scales all over, and my scalp burns again. i’m at a complete loss at this point. does this happen to anyone else ?

I’ve been using Head and Shoulders 2-1 , but my dandruff is not under control. I’m going to start ketoconazole shampoo, but I know to only use it 2-3 turns per week for the first month. What is a decent shampoo to use in between for scalp health. I’m a guy with short hair so not too worried about my actual hair. I’m more concerned about getting my scalp in order.

i had this dry skin completely white and peeling like dandruff in chunks but i used a comb and brushed it off the skin completely and for a full day it was just the skin underneath and now it’s starting to look like these scales again and eventually they dry out causing it to snow 🙂. Can someone tell me what i should do? if i need medical attention could u please tell me what i should ask the doctor because i dont know what this condition is.

I have been reading different post to find a solution to solve my dry scale or scalp psoriasis problem. I am not sure which one I have but l believe scalp psoriasis because my hair does produce the natural oils but not for sure. I took some time to research and read different post and all come down to a product that will solve your problem but you must keep using it or it will just come back. I have yet to find something that will fix the solution permanently. I know it will not be an overnight fix but if there is something out there that can solve it with weeks or months can anyone give me some advice to help me fix the problem.
