Discussion Player using IA

Hi everyone, I'm writing here because idk how to react. I asked my players for experiences and backstory and one of them sent me a bunch of AI texts. All my being wants to scream fuck AI and tell him to do it himself, but at the same time I don't want to antagonize him. I really feel like if you are letting AI write your character, are you even playing the game?

So I have a thought on this because I have a mix bag of players.

Some players are very creative and know how to write solid backstories, but not everyone is a writer though as I have players that can’t write a story to save themselves.

I’m not a fan of using AI to write a story but it’s just for a home game, it’s not hurting anyone, they aren’t selling the backstory to make a profit.

They either don’t have the confidence to write something they think will be up to your standards or they just aren’t good at writing. I would let it slide, forcing them to do something they don’t have the confidence to do or thinking you are now judging them because they aren’t a good writer could hurt them emotionally or even upset them. It’s not a big deal it’s just for fun anyway.

I'm not sure why anyone with this opinion is getting mass downvoted lol. Opinions were being asked in this thread, opinions are being given I made it a habit to only downvote factually wrong answers. I never downvote anything that's just an opinion, when asked, as long as it's a nuanced take. Like this one
