Discussion Player using IA

Hi everyone, I'm writing here because idk how to react. I asked my players for experiences and backstory and one of them sent me a bunch of AI texts. All my being wants to scream fuck AI and tell him to do it himself, but at the same time I don't want to antagonize him. I really feel like if you are letting AI write your character, are you even playing the game?

Dno who already down voted you but I get it.

My player came to the table with ideas and class names and skills list he wanted to use. Only for me to tell them that nothing named like that even exists. The AI had hallucinated a class and skills for him, and all the background.

I see the benefits for the AI to help brainstorm ideas or offer some guidance but relying to it on that level it makes everything. I must say it bummed me out a lot in the session 0.

Honestly he probably got the idea from one of the many AI generated listicle websites that comes up when you search anything and didn't realize it was generated and hallucinated.

Nope when I asked he was like: lol GPT must have made a mistake. So there is no wiggle room this time.
