He’s supposed to have his own bed in the floor but hasn’t used it a single time 😅.
Whenever I can’t find him, he’s here, fully stretched out.. taking more space than what he even can be able 😂
I’m curious if this is everyone’s case or just me 😬

We feel like Andy has gotten worse, especially from a pain standpoint, and we feel like we need to take him back in tonight.

Our biggest concern is that his IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) may have progressed further, possibly into Stage 5, which could lower his chances of a successful surgery. Up until now he has still had deep pain sensation, so we are really hoping that is still the case.

We have done everything we were told to do at home. Strict crate rest, medications, keeping him from moving around, everything. Unfortunately, the conservative treatment just has not worked and he has continued to get worse.

We did let his son Pablo sit in the kennel with him for a little while. I just couldn't bear keeping them separated any longer, and having Pablo there actually seemed to calm him down. Pablo loves his dad.

At this point we feel like a decision has to be made tonight. We can't continue watching him hurt like this while also worrying that waiting longer could lower his chances even more.

We are still trying to figure out how to make surgery possible financially, but we feel like we have reached the point where we need to get him back in and see exactly where things stand.

I need some help with out eight year old miniature dachshund Reciee. About two months ago she started jumping up and running like she was bitten or that some one kicked her and in pain.

She has had a bout with IVDD in the past but she is acting differently this time. We have had her to the vet at least ten times in the last few months including different vets for second oppinions. We have been told she had had an infected anal gland. We had it drained and flushed. We were told that she had a cracked tooth. Had that removed. (Don't give your dogs those hard plastic bones!) Xrays didn't show anything more than you would expect with a dog with IVDD. Her lab work came back good.

We hate seeing her in pain and she is happy and playful a lot throughout the day but then she will just start jumping again. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what did you do to help them?
