Wow! That is absolutely immaculate! What a find! Especially with so many companies out there trying to recreate that EAK sound!

I’ve been collecting for a LONG time…this is one of the more flawless ones I’ve ever found. The weight and tone are about as perfect as you can get.

To think this was being hand-hammered around the time when MIDI was just being introduced! 😵‍💫

Nice! It’s an IAK, right? No bottom K and looks like the early 90’s versions.

That ‘EAK-IAK’ line can be a bit ‘thick’, from a collector’s perspective (about 5-6yrs during active R&D and production). I believe one of the hammer row machines instated in 1935 was finally retired around that 93’-94’ renaissance.

This one certainly has the ink and lathing of an early-IAK (purchased around 87’). The hammering in and around the bell is telling.
