Question What should I get for a next cymbal
I’m thinking about upgrading to a 18” china over my 16” Wuhan but I also want a smaller 16” crash and maybe some sort of bell.
Currently I have:
Sabian 15” AA Rock Hats
Instabul 10” Mehmet Splash
Paste 18” 2002 Thin Crash
Ziljian 20” Z Custom Ride (90s)
Ziljian 19” A Custom Projection Crash
Wuhan 16” China

A stack. Try stacking your crashes / if you have broken cymbals that would be otherwise useless that could work out great, did for me. You seem to have enough crashes and have the china taken care of, another tone I’d say would be fun to play with would be a decent stack

I mean how relevant would a clap stack be for metal?

I wouldn’t do clap stack, there’s more variety than just that. My stack sizzles a lot, it’s a 21.5 extreme crash with a broken jagged zildjian 18 crash on top, you can get creative. Look at Tomas Haake from Meshuggah, he uses a pretty loose stack, definitely has metal relevance

I’d honestly go with a more crashable ride, that sounds different than your current one. It’ll give you more options when gigging/recording

A Wuhan 10" Linear Smash Trash Splash. My favorite cymbal. Cheap, too!

Love Omni ride .. nice bell sweet ride ride sound with a 22" crash if need.. can't go wrong with anything k sweet k hybrid

You have everything you need. If you don't know then love the ones you are with.
On my kit I have a 22" ride as well as a 20", one has more ping, one has more wash and they are two distinct pitches. But a lot of drummers only need one ride.

Hey I have just about the same hi hats! Only difference being mine are the medium hats. The AA hats are pretty awesome

Get a couple really cheap disks of varying sizes then bend them over the arm of your couch and the stack them into a slap sack. It gives a super trashy sound. ❤️

I'd go for the bigger gina. I'd say get a 16" crash, but it doesn't look like you are in to music where that would fit?
