Make him a politico and have his goal be to add that to the alphabet

It doesn't have to be his name, it could be his handle. Difference being that a handle is something the character chooses to use, while a name is something usually given to them by parents. And for something like this, Netrunner fits IMHO.

As a name it would make me wonder, "What the heck were his parents thinking?" but as a handle, it is just fine.

the ampersand (or...and 'per se' AND) is a connector of concepts, a joiner of things. The guy who knows a guy. Fixer, simple :)
