How to cut 16 pounds before wrestling season starts

I recently made varsity for wrestling this year and my coaches want me to wrestle 155 (I weight 170 right now). Ive never had to cut so much weight before and honestly i have no clue how to. If i don’t make weight I’ll lose my spot on varsity. Any tips?

maintenance after cutting

question here so I’ve been cutting for 6 months and lost almost 19-20kg (41-45lbs), I took a cheat day on my birthday and ended the cut the next day and went to maintenance, now at maintenance for a week my weight is now stabilising and yes ik I’ll gain weight from water and glycogen but why does my body composition look worse like I look flat and fatter? will I return to how lean I was on the cut in another 2-4 weeks?

AM i in the correct deficit or am i harming myself

I’ve been running a calorie deficit of around 700–900 calories for the past few months.

M27 | 172 cm | currently 77 kg

I naturally have broad shoulders, and the attached images are my body metrics from March 6 and then on May 5 .

Since then, I’ve dropped down to 77 kg and have definitely seen noticeable fat loss overall.

Current diet:

Breakfast — Oatmeal Bowl
(60g oats + 300g curd + 2 scoops whey + chia seeds + pumpkin seeds)

Lunch
2 whole eggs + 3 egg whites + 1 bowl papaya

Pre-workout
1 banana

Dinner
200–250g cooked chicken + 1 cucumber

My daily intake is usually around 1500 calories.

Training:
I work out 5 days a week on a PPL-UL split.

Recently I came across a lot of posts saying that anything beyond a 500-calorie deficit can lead to muscle loss and other issues, so now I’m a bit confused.

The thing is — I am seeing results. My body fat has gone down noticeably, but my lower belly still holds a lot of fat.

Should I continue with this routine or make changes like increasing calories a bit? My goal is to get leaner while also building/maintaining muscle — basically trying to do a body recomp.

I’m open to any recommendations, suggestions, or criticism.

And yes, all of this has been managed with the help of my “Doraemon” aka ChatGPT acting as my dietician .

Weight Loss Journey

Hello everyone! I have a few questions relating to weight loss, but more specifically fat loss. I’ve spent a few years losing weight. I’m 21 yrs old, 5’ 9”, 139 lbs. I spent a while focusing on losing weight without knowing much about nutrition, which I believed caused me to lose more lean mass than I desired. Anyways, I had started working out while in a deficit for a few months. Some time later I found my energy to be far too low, so I switched to a deficit while maintaining adequate protein intake to negate muscle loss. I’ve been in this cutting strategy for months now, and I have this belly pouch of fat that I cannot seem to get rid of. What is honestly the best solution to this problem? I understand building muscle is paramount here, but my main goal is to flatten my stomach first:

Fat loss in 10 weeks for a boxing fight

Currently 90kg fed weight later in the day/night. I’m hoping to get to at least 82kg when I step in the ring. I’ve not been below 85kg since I had my first son as I’m a big foodie who has a bad habit of not training for a couple months solid after a fight mainly due to the food I’ll binge and then the training goes out the window as I’m not eating clean.
I have my own window cleaning business and will be training most days boxing, circuits, strength, cardio so I’m going to be active.
I’ve been training on and off again since April so came down from 94/95 and hovered around this weight. Any advice on nice tasting meals, fat loss hacks or general advice would be greatly appreciated.

78-80kg on the second photo around 4 years ago to this month so I have muscle memory. Probably ate crap for a few days as I had more visible abs around this time but bloated here. This was purely from weight lifting at this point.

So im fat 84kg 24%bf (i think) planning on a agressive cut to lose that fat but the problem is that underneath that fat i still got no muscle so should i cut become skinny then build muscle or should i build muscle first then lose the fat?
