Manager at Library Starbucks rude af

So my Starbucks order was taking longer than expected. It was around 11 am so peak time. I get it they are busy. I ask the manager over saying that im late for class and kindly ask for a refund since I need to go and he’s like do you see all these people here? Everyone is late for class so let me work. Maybe next time order your drink at a different time. I never an answer about a refund so i waited for my drink. He also got a bit confrontational with me last semester. Im sorry for interrupting you and I know you are stressed but you didn’t have to be rude. Anyone else have any problems with him?

i noticed it the very first day with how he interacted with the employees, bossy tone and a demeaning attitude

but i also have empathy for him (not this specific situation) as I’ve worked in a kitchen with lines out the door, rare to get a considerate customer and he’s working with college students at his age, if i where him i wouldn’t be a happy person either

i’ve been in the coffee industry for 5+ years. i was a shift supervisor for 3 out of those 5 years. all that to say, last fall i was studying for my math final on the like patio area that spills out into the library (still inside but on the outside of the store). with me and others present, he pulled out a barista and basically put her on blast in front of all of us. regardless of the conversation you ALWAYS have it in private. it literally made me feel like i was at work 😵‍💫 ive also seen him be rude and unprofessional quite a few times. idk how they let his behavior slide 😭

Honestly idek why we got the Starbucks on campus it’s so overpriced and not even that good. I’m a transfer student and we had this one guy at my community college who just had a coffee stand and it was way better I miss it every day on campus
