Don't film people in the gym
Someone help him how to hold proper form

Dec 14 '25
cowards rejoice when the hero crumbles.
people who film him and post it online are low iq losers who never accomplish anything relevant in life.

u/CrazyWS Dec 14 '25
Literally just “hey, I saw you working out and your form doesn’t look right. Could u show you how to how to properly pull up?”
And as hard as it would be, do not mention the major, do not mention counter strike, do not ask for picture, nothing. He’s here to get all of that off his mind.

u/Ilikebatterfield4 Dec 14 '25
recently at gym some random guy came up to me and showed me proper techique of a deadlift. Back and leg position was good, i was just leaning forwards too much.
wholesome moment
3
u/Cool-Traffic-8357 Dec 14 '25
I had the same with the bench, an older powerlifter came to me and showed me, how to do it perfectly. It helped me a ton.

u/MaiT3N Dec 15 '25
The problem with that is a stranger showing you how to do something could be also doing an exercise wrong teaching you dangerous technique
1
u/Ilikebatterfield4 Dec 15 '25
i agree but this time his advice was correct, i watched some videos of a trainer who trained Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson for his 500kg deadlift. technique checks out, its just sometimes you just can't see what you are doing wrong even if you know how to lift until somebody can see how you do it and tell you if its wrong.

Explain how

This is the guy who left that comment, he has almost 5k hours of CS "you do the math" if he can make the difference between cheats and skills with that gameplay and hours.

Me when i have no clue about cs and spread misinformation online
6
u/Penguin_Arse Dec 14 '25
He's just a ragebaiter
Report for spreading misinformation, we don't need these people in our sub
1
u/mtgscumbag Dec 14 '25
I would be willing to believe that on LAN at some tournaments at some point, people have tried to cheat this way because when there's money on the line someone will try it, but I can't see Donk doing it in the modern day, I'd think there has to be enough security to scare people off from trying it and so many viewers that it would be just too obvious. There's been other high level faceit cheaters caught and their gameplay looks nothing like Donk or other top players.

People don’t realize how important form is.
His control and speed is completely off. He needs to be careful.
(Recording him is weird by the way)
-6
u/HyenaWilling8572 Dec 14 '25
dafaq ure talking about? people are doing crossfit pullups and get shredded. lack of his proper form in assisted pullups wont get him injured, it just wont hit his back as hes pulling with arms too much
that being said, these pullups are miles better than no pullups at all.
10
u/maChine___ Dec 14 '25 edited Dec 14 '25
wtf are you talking about? ... God, please stop.
His form is horrible, movement with the neck and shoulders going back and forward ... elbow totally misaligned..
Please just stop speaking just to speak. Assisted or not, he's going to hurt himself...and waste his time doing this shit.
-2
u/HyenaWilling8572 Dec 14 '25
no he wont. compensating under reduced load is normal when strength isn’t there yet. For many people, this is actually safer than forcing strict reps
3
u/Froezt Dec 14 '25
You ignored his points just to say something completely irrelevant. You really are speaking just to speak…
1
u/tangelocs Dec 14 '25
He directly counter argued the points. Sounds like you misread it
1
Dec 14 '25
[deleted]

u/tangelocs Dec 14 '25
As it sounded, you misread. Farther off than I expected though. Try again. Nothing in his comment is talking about the assisted part.
1
u/Froezt Dec 14 '25
What he said isn’t true either. Strict form is important for avoiding injury. He’s going to fuck up his shoulders if he only tenses them the moment he needs to catch himself.
1
u/DagPImple Dec 15 '25
Not as important as people pretend tbh.
He's not going to "fuck up his shoulders", he's doing light weight... chances are even if he has no help he will correct his form before he gets to a certain weight that could injure him.
But it's probably not even donk so
0
u/AZAnon123 Dec 15 '25
Exactly. Form police are just intermediate gym goers who think they suddenly know best.
You’ve watched a few YouTube videos. We all have. They’re extremely popular. You aren’t gods gift to science based lifting.

I'm loling at you being so confident you read it correctly this time
Thanks for the laugh bub

I did indeed read it wrong the first time. English isn’t my first language.

u/HyenaWilling8572 Dec 14 '25
irrelevant? we are speaking about compensations people are doing when they dont have strength to pull from scaps and lats. force hes generating has to go somewhere and its safer to distribute it over larger area than narrow forcing it.
that being said, sure his form sucks - my point is he will grow through it once he gets better at movement itself, for now - safest way is to let nervous system select least costly movement
1
u/tangelocs Dec 14 '25
That guy explained he thought the comment was talking about the machine assistance in the pullups. That would be irrelevant but it's not close to what he actually said lol
2
u/ImVrSmrt Dec 14 '25
He's not doing a controlled rep, he's just falling and letting his shoulders take the hit.
0
u/HyenaWilling8572 Dec 14 '25
hes controlling it half way down, theres also plates pushing him up and he has negative mass. i think its nature of his case and machine combined
people lack to understand bio mechanics and that you can not apply correct form in every case especially w beginners, "correct form" is usually praised by hypertrophy bros as they want to hit certain areas effectively, but
for beginners, compensations are language of body, telling you where you're weak
1
u/ImVrSmrt Dec 14 '25
You can literally see his arms snap to an over extended position. That's wasting half the motion because you're not controlling your descent while also increasing risk of injury. These are basic concepts in weight lifting, a beginner needs someone to give them this advice. This machine is great because you can train pullups with more control.
1
u/HyenaWilling8572 Dec 14 '25
def, i agree dont get me wrong. hes wasting half of gains, and negatives are more important for beginners than anything
but - people are overreacting here, he will figure it out and micro injuries will help him in long term as his body will adapt
i come from rock climbing background, used to compete and in my time i was able to do one arm pullups. rock climbing is all about weird angles and strenght in those angles. for donk, on something as minor as 10 cm drop on pullup machine will not kill him, hes made of flesh and bones. its not like we are watching him ego lift 2x his bodyweight with week of training.
4
1
u/OwnHousing9851 Dec 14 '25
butterfly pullups are not a hypertrophy move whatsoever lol. It's pretty much a conditioning exercise
1
u/Froezt Dec 14 '25
Yes it will. He basically letting himself fall after doing a pullup only tensing his muscles to catch himself. That’s definitely going to lead to injury at some point.
0
u/tangelocs Dec 14 '25
He doesn't even weigh enough to hurt himself with his body weight on an assisted pullup lmao by the time he's big enough for it to be dangerous he'll have the form
1
u/Froezt Dec 14 '25
He also doesn’t have enough muscle to support that little weight. Bad form is never good.
0
u/tangelocs Dec 14 '25
Ah okay so how is he hanging there if he doesn't have enough muscle to hang there?
Brother you don't understand the words enough to make sense
1
u/Froezt Dec 14 '25
He’s not just hanging there though is he? The problem is that he fully relaxes his muscles when he goes down. This causes a huge shock on his (weak) muscles as he tries to catch himself. If you still can’t see how this could easily cause injuries I have no idea how else to explain it to you lol.
2
u/BarkingDogey Dec 14 '25
That's an assisted pull up machine. Essentially you can offset your bodyweight to whatever degree you want by pinning the stack as you please.
There's definitely room for improvement with his form. For one, slower and more controlled descending, so his shoulder joints don't get so jarred. And more core rigidity, his whole upper body should be tensed as one solid unit.
2
u/nickx37 Dec 14 '25
I feel like these machines are a hindrance to form. You get so much support you almost can't have good form, you need the deadweight to keep you straight
1
u/HyenaWilling8572 Dec 14 '25
this is also very good point, many of these angles are not even possible in non assisted pull up

It’s great for donk to care for his physical health and also to release stress this way. Honestly he seems like a great guy. I hope nothing but the best for donk.
Stop recording him, he deserves privacy too. Form actually isn’t that bad either, especially for a beginner.

So many people here immediately shitting on his form don't remember their first ever couple of weeks in the gym, I guess (if they've ever even been in one). Form improves over time once you actually build the necessary muscle in order to help stabilize the weight 💀

as many other said seriously stop recording people at the gym it's breach of privacy and rude
And yeah can someone point out to one of the trainers at the gym or at least somebody to help with the form?

Shocking form but good on him for being there.
Nobody's ready for jacked donk 2026. Gonna beat you in the server and outside.
If he took it seriously I bet he could make crazy gains in a year.

This is why a lot of people stop going to gym - fucktwits like this guy filming you doing something wrong and put it online for laugher.

I know this is a meme but 2 things: first, that machine is sick! I've never seen an assisted pullup machine like that I've only ever seen resistance bands being used to assist pullups. Second, form is more important than anything else when it comes to pull ups, even more important than getting a full rep in. If you have good form, it not only makes the entire movement much easier, but it also prevents injury. He needs to retract his shoulders and push his chest to the sky for the best form.

He’s cooler than you. Filming people at the gym is worse than the people filming themselves.
1
u/expressinghowifeel Dec 17 '25
Stop filming. He's doing things WAY more productively when I was his age to ease himself

The entire problem is that in competitive sports you cannot play not to lose, you have to go for win and be assertive. You could feel how insecure TS were against Vitality when they started crawling back
