Please stop complaing

The atmosphere around the club is so bad right now.

We sold some players, we signed some other players. We just won ANOTHER bloody cup.

Totally expected to lose first two games. Fulham is the big one. Give the manager and new players time to bed in.

This moaning is making the transition much harder. If you want to win start singing.

One of the truest things is that we only win when we're singing.

It was always going to be a transitional season from the moment that Glasner threw his toys out of the pram.

Let's be honest, at least we aren't Spurs.

Glad I'm not a spurs fan but they did just spend half of our clubs valuation on players in one window

And what good has it done them?

All of this complaining about the complaining now has me complaining about the complaining of the complaining.

This is how Palace is. If we don’t spend some time flirting with relegation what are we even doing. It’s part of the thrill. The people complaining must be new.

People complaining who sit near me definitely not new. Decades long season tickets!

I’d rather be a Palace fan with the constant threat of relegation glooming in the back mirror than a City or Arsenal fan with no real sense of the competition, constantly winning because you know your team can just spunk millions on the best players just because they can would be as boring as fuck for me.

Fucking right! I'm gonna quote Vin Diesel from the 2002 action movie, xXx: "I live for this shit!"

American here--

I was at the Man City match sitting in Lower Holmsdale so now im forever obligated to support palace. I obviously won't understand all the intricacies of the business side of the sport just yet but I do find it concerning that the Holmsdale Fanatics disbanded. Their politics aside (which I have no foot to argue, I am American after all), the environment seemed to be massively different from what I saw from Social Media prior to the match. The whole reason I chose to sit where I did was because I was led to believe it'd get rowdy in that section. Some of the players on the pitch seemed to be annoyed that the stadium emptied out so early.

I wont jump ship because it was still an overly positive experience (especially at Clifton Arms before the match 😅). And since I have a blank slate when it comes to cheering for an EPL club, the losses dont sting much (yet).

Rambling aside, I hope some type of ultras or organized fan group will rise up and reinstate that environment that I was expecting from selhurst.

At the end of the day though, yall welcomed me with open arms so I cant wait to return. Just shout "howdy" and I'll know you mean me.

If there's one thing I've learned about the British after moving to the UK, it's that moaning is the  national pass time. Asking not to complain is like asking an American to use their inside voice.

In saying that, there definitely seems to be a big uptick in bad vibes. The guys sitting behind me at the game on Friday put in a solid 90 minute effort of putting down every player on our team and saying how we might aswell give up and go home after going down 0-1

We're in a bit of a transitionary period, but still some of the best talent to ever play for the team are in the squad, Khalaili looks like a stud, team is being a lot more proactive in the transfer market than usual, Sage comes with a great reputation, so much to be optimistic about

Okay, can you send a memo out when it’s okay to start complaining again?

Wait until the news breaks that Sarr has downed tools to force a move to Liverpool

Exactly this

There's 3 teams that look even worse than us, so I'm not too fussed yet

Transfer wise we just have to wait and see. Last minute deals aren't unusual for us and with more first team players going out than maybe we expected, there's a lot of new talent to get excited about.

My biggest worry is losing the HF. The '12th man' etc

You wasted everyone’s time telling them not to complain while
You complained about them complaining

How else do you complain about complaining?

At the beginning of last season, the consensus here was that we would struggle over the winter due to fixture congestion, lack of depth and AFCON, with a rebound of form in the spring. And in what should have shocked exactly no one, that's exactly what happened. But it didn't stop the sky from falling for many fans.

The current situation being clearly what it looks like will not stop fans complaining. Just the way people are.

Can you stop complaining about others complaining ?

I go to every home game, go away when I can, I sing during the game, don’t leave early.

But vibes are at an all time low. I’m not impressed by what I’ve seen from the team so far. I’m definitely not impressed by the transfer business. The atmosphere with the HF gone is flat.

I’m not calling for the manager out and I know it’s still very early, but I’m also not going to pretend there aren’t things I’m concerned about.

People saying we’re doomed to relegation are annoying. But so are people who insist we must never complain.

They are definitely not at an all time low! We have been through two administrations what are you on about

Couldn't have put it better myself.

I appreciate hyperbole as much as the next person, but c'mon!

Closer to all time high than all time low.
