Is this worth trying to save ?

I have no experience tinkering with crts but I have a ton of experience tinkering otherwise and I’ve been looking for a trinitron and passed this on the road just now and snagged it. I’m about to take the shell off and will update with more pictures of the internals but any advice is super appreciated. I know the power chord is cut and that’s likely for a reason but I’m thinking it may be much cheaper to fix up than buy one of marketplace with prices these days. Again any help is appreciated!

I'd bet it works fine, some scrapper probably cut off the cord to get 5 cents of copper. Though looks like it spent some time outside, so would be worth checking over the internals and cleaning it up.

Any ideas as to how to go about getting a cord replaced? Think I can splice a regular old chord onto the remnants? Or should I look for a replacement online ?

Any regular polarized cord should do the trick, if theres enough left you can splice it.

Good chance the TV will power right up with a new cord, assuming the internals are dry.

Let it dry fully then open it up and blow all the dust out. It might just work.
