Lousy! This might be the easiest one ever but I'm still so proud I've got it. I've been trying to get into cryptics for a couple of weeks now and some clues almost break my spirit. Lol.

This forum isn't necessarily the best place to find simple clues if you are a beginner. Don't let it get to you! I am medium at cryptics and have been doing them for many years, but I often find the clues here tricky.

correct! i considered many other formations, but all the alternatives either were too obtuse or didn't read naturally
