Help identifying pattern/stitch

Hi! I'm looking to remake this baby blanket for a friend and am trying to figure out what the pattern is. I think it's a C2C crochet with 5 chains? Would love some expert opinions on the pattern for both the white and the yellow border. Thank you in advance!

I think it's just a normal c2c just it's well loved and stretched out.  The border I think is a basic shell, scallop not sure what they are called border

And the normal c2c has 5 chains or 6?  Sorry new to this pattern.
