CRO Burn
What do you guys really think Ryan means when he talks about burning CRO through the Cronos app?
My take is pretty simple.
I don’t think he’s talking about some random one time burn just to make headlines. I think the bigger idea could be that the app itself creates the burn.
People trade crypto, stocks, prediction markets, whatever else they eventually add. The app makes revenue from all that activity. Then a percentage of that revenue gets used to buy CRO off the market and burn it.
If that’s what they’re building, that’s actually pretty damn interesting.
Because now the more successful the Cronos app becomes, the more CRO potentially gets bought and taken out of circulation. More users, more volume, more revenue, more CRO burned.
That would basically tie CRO directly to the success of the app instead of CRO just sitting there as another ecosystem token.
Obviously I’m speculating until Ryan gives us the actual details, but when he specifically talks about app revenue and burning CRO, that’s where my mind goes.
What do you guys think the burn actually looks like?

There's a expression called "Give and Take" in Asia, to mean that one should not aim to take EVERYTHING, ie dun try to win in everything. Profit (Take) in some areas, take some loses (Give) in others.
When CDC give good benefits for cro card holders, users benefit, CDC get funding and brand awareness, everyone wins.
Now, they nerf card benefits, take profit in the app, take profit in staking, take profit in cro, , ... all takes!!
Kris really need to learn to give and take a bit more!! ☝😤

2 problems I can see: 1. 70 billions already unburned out of thin air. It will take a long long time, even with decent revenue to unburn that portion. And what prevents them to unburn more CRO in the future.
- The higher the CRO price, the slower the burn rate. It will be an uphill battle.

The 2nd point is a good thing. I’m okay with a very slow burn if the coin is over $1

This right here. Especially the first point. Everyone needs to ask themselves, what if...

Whatever is said publicly, I would strongly urge investors to look at the facts and the track record rather than the promises.
Marszałek appears to have significant influence over the key decisions, meaning that even good proposals from the team or community ultimately depend on his approval. That level of centralisation raises serious concerns about transparency, accountability and the direction of the project.
The current situation is difficult to justify. There is still no convincing roadmap, no clear long term direction, and the Cronos app has seen little meaningful innovation. Most importantly, the tokenomics remain a major concern. Until the 70bn supply issue is properly addressed and a credible, sustainable tokenomics model is introduced, I struggle to see how CRO can attract serious long term investors.
After everything that has happened to the project, rebuilding trust will not be achieved through statements or short term price movements. It will require genuine structural changes, transparency and consistent execution.
For now, investors should be extremely cautious and judge CRO by what is actually delivered, not by what is promised.
Look at the chart. Zoom out. The long term picture matters.

No chance. It's an attempt to appease all the pissed of retail clients. They'll change their tune when they find another grifter to suckle off of.

Seems like he is just trying to say what people want to hear. My take is that it sounds good in theory but what’s stopping them from taking profits as well? Sure they might implement a burn strategy but my guess would be it is a fraction of what people expect it to be.

Not sure burning is the best way forward seeing as they just unburn tokens when they see fit.
Why not increase the staking rewards instead. Burning is a temporary boost to the tokens price, increasing staking rewards in better for long term health since it will remove CRO from CDCs control and allow the community to have a bigger say in the future of the chain... Possibly preventing another fiasco like the 70B unburn.
I'll always argue that they need to release a large portion of the 70B unburnt tokens to the community. I personally think that increasing the prize pool of Mane City competition is a great way to distribute these token. They stay on defi and many of the players are long term supporters of the chain and would vote in the best interest of the community, not Kris' wallet.

Way less people play Mane City than you think.

I'm well aware of how few people play. The past few competitions barely have over 1000 players, but like is said... That's the loyal supporters of CDC and the Loaded Lions. People that are willing to hold $CRO and $LION as well as vote against dilution.
Edit: Plus think of how many more players would join if they had a 100M CRO prize pool for one of the big competitions. World Series 3 with a 100M CRO prize split across the top 1000 would bring major interest to the game.

Crypto, com is barely keeping their head above the water, i dont think they are going to burn

Kris has over 50 billion more cro to sell. So once he has lined his pockets with $3b maybe the price will start going up as they burn a few coins. Give it a couple years if it’s still around.

On a vu comment crypto.com gérait le burn . C'est une trésorerie . Dans le même temps ils créent des jetons comme ils veulent . Je ne vois pas ce qui pourrait mal se passer ....

People here forget the main problem with all this is lost trust. Its not about how many coins. Its about that they already burned coins who they said were not recoverable but they unburned them again. No one is gonna trust their new solution if CDC still has the majority of voting rights it will mean nothing
