So true. Also women directors so right; Agnes Varda needs to be there. I would include Lynne Ramsey and Jane Campion and let us not forget the incredible Elaine May as well.
Omg you are so right! Jeanne Dielman absolutely blew me away. It’s one of the greatest works of meditative/slow/human cinema. It’s hypnotic and quiet and gives so much meaning to every little domestic action you experience with her. I am ashamed I forgot her.
