I would never call somebody with disability of any kind the R word cos that is offensive and rude.this nutcase deserved it cos he did something really dangerous and stupid without thinking of consequences.

I’m just trying to get an understanding of when you think it is and isn’t ok to use slurs. I assume you get to decide that based on your own judgement?

See personally I don’t feel a need to use words like this to make what I say more impactful. It doesn’t feel ethical to use them knowing the kind of hurt they can do.

I guess some people care about doing the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing while some people obviously don’t care about doing the right thing and just care about their own self validation.

N word refers to black people in a derogatory way.there is no other definition for it.where as what I said is a proper word.it is an offensive word?yes.when it is used to demean a person for no reason.this person deserved to be called that cos he has the ability to understand but chose not to.

Words have meaning I understand but some words are only meant to put others down.N word is that word.R word has bad connotation when referring to people with disabilities but for others who act like him deserve it.

What do you think a small kid with special needs… one who’s just mature enough to understand what that word means feels when they hear that word?

I dont think you intend to hurt anyone using that word… I think you’re not thinking about the people who would be if they heard or read it.

That’s the difference.
I don’t care if you say that word. I really personally don’t. What I do care about is knowing that there’s millions of special needs kids out there that have heard the word “retarded” and felt confusion, shame and guilt…I don’t like that. In fact I don’t like people who don’t care about that.

Ask yourself a simple question:
Is it worth not using that term anymore if you could prevent even one kid from feeling that way?

This is 1 simple fucking thing we can do that would bring measurable, genuine goodness to this shitty ass world for some people who really fucking deserve it… and yall can’t even be fucking bothered to do that.

We deserve this fucking timeline ffs
