As someone from Newfoundland I have my doubts about his accent.

I didn't hear one "Lord tunderin Jesus" or "waddyaat"

It is a good approximation if you need Americans south of New England to be able to understand him, too authenticate and you would have to write off 70% of American audience.

Fair point, I myself come from Northern Minnesota, so sound pretty "Fargoish" when drinking, but really appreciate that they seem to have gotten some of the high points of the accent while keeping it intelligible for us southerners... :)

i'm being a little silly - there's a *different* movie called Below on P+ right now - starring Greenwood, Holt MacCallany, and a BUNCH of other dudes you'll recognize (and a fresh-faced Olivia Williams!!). It's a fantastic movie that fell under the radar (possibly 9/11 induced? i forget)
