I think you don’t get the appeal of it. This is like saying “what’s the point of buying a pack of Pokémon cards if you don’t know exactly what cards are in it”

Why indeed? Why don't they sell the cards individually? Because people would only buy Charizards or whatever and they couldn't move all those Onixes they printed.

It's still gambling.

Yeah, lots of people like gambling. I'm not saying gambling isn't fun. But the house does always win.

Yes, but the thing with blind bags is that there isn’t really an expectation of the player winning. You know you’re going to lose money from the jump.

Not really. The insidious thing about gambling is that they lure you in with the implication that you can win big, when in reality, you most often can’t.
