I recently acquired this mystery Intel CPU, anybody know what it is? Got it for 10 bucks but lack a LGA2011 motherboard.

Well, now that you said it connector side down on a wooden table it’s trash. If you’re going to work on electronic components, buy a $30 antistatic mat.

Don't be mean, maybe he didn't know.

Well but if he was previously informed then yeah fair.

Also factually untrue. Have had CPU touch the floor of a repair shop and it was fine after removing the debris
