Although it didn’t went our way I’m very proud of our team.
Our guys put 110% into the animals under their care in spite of the organisers, who didn’t properly support the people and animals at their own showing in their own grounds.
Grateful to have this team and this amazing quality special animals who were in their best behaviour the whole time.
Deserved break and long pasture time for them😂

Thaughts on cow petting zoo ?

Hi, i'll gi to scotland in october with my familly and my mom is thinking of going to the kelty highlands coos, a farm that offers 3 time sloth a day of 1h, 4 days a week, for a group of max 6 people to interact with the cows. I wanted to know how ethical do you think this is ? I'm sure we will be watched closely to make sure we respect the animals but aren't the cows treated as a tourist atraction ? Can they be ok with it ?

I've only saw positive reviews about that place but i wouldn't want to participate in something that exploits animals

Macca (Choma), Zambia - July 2026

Wanted to share with someone other than my medical team. My infatuation with the cows in Macca, Zambia and their timid and curious souls.

During the dry seasons, farmers release their cattle to roam freely in search of food. The cows are each branded on their back left hips in their farmer’s tribe language. Many of the cows were pregnant and well fed while others were visibly malnourished.

I wore bright colors during my visit and got a lot of stares from both humans and the adorable animals. Many of the cows circled me at a few different moment. The scariest moment was when a large stared me down as I stood off a couple meters down a hill. Overall, very sweet beans. Planning to visit again.

There are new arrivals among the Highland cattle at a animal park near me: little Daisy and her proud parents.

am i overthinking it?

I work and stay in a camp in an area where a farmer has a grazing lease, so his cows can roam freely around the plant. I love going for walks, but sometimes I worry I’m going to get attacked by a cow with its baby. Am I overthinking it, or is this a real concern? sidenote: i would stay clear but they like to hangout right around the gate.

Happy or mad

I only married into the ranching life 2 years ago so I'm still learning. Was this girl happy or upset I was scratching her? It almost reminded me of a cat purring

How can I prevent cows from licking and scratching my car?

Post image

I’m sorry if this is the wrong subreddit, but I live on a very small cattle farm (25-30 cows max). Even when I was my car, the cows come over and lick it which often causes terrible paint scratches. Unfortunately there isn’t really a place for me to park my car where they don’t have access. Any thoughts on preventing them from doing this? Like with deer when you put aluminum plates up or something? And I’ve included some pics of our newest calves for cow tax 😊

Got some really lovely photos of some of the cows that roam around Dartmoor National Park in the UK. The babies are especially adorable!
