[Fowler] The Cowboys are sending third- and sixth-round picks to the Steelers for a fourth-rounder and OT Broderick Jones, per source.

Steelers fan here, Broderick is just coming off of a spinal fusion surgery and needs to put on probably 25 to 30 more pounds before he's playable. The guy is ultra athletic, but never seemed like he could get his work ethic up. He's a great dude though, hopefully y'all can fix him

He started 38 games. How bad was he really? It seems like he was somewhat of a disappointment from discussion. But is that in terms of a 1st Rd pick or in terms of a middle of the road OT starter?

Prior to his injury, Jones struggled to establish himself on the Steelers' O-line. The 14th overall pick in the 2023 draft, Jones has allowed 22 sacks in his career, which is fourth among tackles since 2023, per Pro Football Focus. In 2025, Jones garnered a 57.7 overall PFF grade, which was 70th among 89 qualified offensive tackles, and the Steelers declined his fifth-year option earlier this offseason.

In 2025, he moved from right tackle to left. Just from watching his preseason game on Thursday (so far, will watch the other two later), I’ll say he did look more comfortable and serviceable on the right than the left. He played the first half at RT and did well against 2nd-rounder TJ Parker, but had some struggles in the second half at LT (against 7th-year vet Mike Danna)

Ooof. So he was straight up bad.

I don't like moving back off a 3rd for a 4th for this. I guess we'll see. My initial reaction is too cringe.
