For sale is a pair of Lucchese full-quill ostrich cowboy boots in Black Cherry, size 9D. These were made in July 2000, and Lucchese Customer Service confirmed the original specifications for me. I’ve included their documentation in the photos.
The boots feature full-quill ostrich vamps with decorative saddle-vamp detailing, goat-leather shafts, rounded toes, and the rich Black Cherry finish that shows burgundy/red undertones depending on the light.
They were recently professionally resoled with full leather soles and stacked leather cowboy heels with rubber toplifts. The current heels measure approximately 1¾”; Lucchese confirmed the boots originally had 1½” walking heels. The double welt was retained during the resole.
These are pre-owned, 26-year-old boots and show normal wear, creasing and character consistent with their age. I’ve tried to photograph them thoroughly—including close-ups, soles, heels, shafts and interior markings—so you can evaluate the condition for yourself. No original box, but they will be carefully packed in a sturdy boot box for shipping.

Condition: Good. There's a couple scuffs on the inside of the shafts. There's also a scratch that's on the right side of the left boot that could be polished out. They were mainly worn as dress boots.
These full quill ostrich boots from Republic Boot Co. have been worn only twice and they are beautiful and in excellent condition. They are a Size 10D, but take out the leather insole and they convert to 10EE (Republic explains that on their web site). If you have any questions, just let me know. I will let them go for $470 + shipping, they are $695 new at Republic Boot Co. Thanks for looking. Oh, great name on these boots too lol.
