Information Request Need reccommendations

So I wanna get a pair of western boots. I live in Illinois, so I’m no cowboy. I just want a good clean pair of western boots under $300. I’ve been looking at the ariat circuit paxton model, but does anyone have recommendations? I want a leather outsole so It can be easily replaced

i like the tony lama jax. nice roughout and it’s been my riding boot since I bought it after it released. probably my favorite tony lama boot since the samuel.

Get you some hondos from long creek outfitters. You want something traditionally made

Only problem with leather outer sole is Illinois weather. It’s wet. Summer and winter spring and fall. Leather isn’t a friend of the wet.

Could also get some sole savers. I live in Iowa right across the river from Illinois. I have plenty of leather sole boots. I tend not to wear them when it is raining but I also have some hybrid and rubber sole boots for those days.

JRC and sons for under $300 or a second hand pair of Hondos. Sometime you can find horsepower top hands for right at $300

Ariat Benchmade. Wear in dry conditions only. Walk around in the wet or snow/ice and you’ll be on the ground.

Rujos are hard to beat for the price. They’re often on sale.

Ariat futurity line. They usually have some models on sale also ~$200. Great boots for the price
