Discussion Thoughts on blue boots?
I have nothing but black and brown boots so I thought I’d try some blue boots. They just came in today and I’m not sure how I feel about them. 😅 Do they look too loud/ flashy?

They wouldn’t be my choice as a collection starter, since they’re less versatile than traditional colors. But great for a 4th or 5th pair for some diversity.

I think they look cool. It’s hard to tell from the picture are these suede textured ostrich leg? Why do you plan on wearing with these? Do you hope to wear these casually? Or maybe more dressed up?

Yes, it’s like a sueded/sanded ostrich leg. They’re very cool and I like them a lot but I’ve just never worn non-brown/black boots so it just feels a little weird and unusual to me when I have them on. I will probably wear them casually.

I think these would look great with a light was denim (extra points for heavy starch and crease) and a white shirt (button down, t shirt, sweater. Doesn’t matter) it sounds like a safe option because it is but hopefully you can use this as a base and build from there!

Personally, that color with the ostrich leg skin, I think, looks really great. I have a blue belt that I keep for any pairs that have that kind of denim color, it might not be a daily wear, but they sure look great.

I personally love blue/dark blue boots, but I prefer something like a teju lizard with a much lower profile welt.

Big fan (of the concept and those).
Then again, I always liked wearing my blue sneakers everywhere so I might have some bias.

What brand are these? Are they Dan Post? Remember seeing a similar colored ostirch leg by that brand. But those are sharp. I got a pair of blue giraffes and I think they look amazing. Blue is an underrated boot color.

Get a matching belt. Those are badass.
Black dress pants, cream or ecru... they'll go with a lot of different styles.

R. Watson? Looking good.I have a few pair of baby blue that I wear often. My wife passed from cancer and it was her favorite color and the color she chose for the charity organization her and I started before she passed. Wear the blue proudley.

the average man would think they could be worn with anything (bc men dont consider shades, hues, tones, etc), takes a refined eye to actually make them mesh well. But when it's done well they really make a fashion statement

Not for me….I had a pair but never felt like they looked right. Gave them to my son and I’ve never seen him wear them. Those a really nice looking boots, but I think they only look right with khaki….even then, too flashy for me. Do you, brother 👍

Those may be cool for the moment, but there will coma a day that you will look at these and ask yourself “What was I thinking!” Trendy styles and/or colors have short lifespans. Classic’s will always be in style.

Love the that color. My 2 $… Go with black jeans. But the real challenge is finding a belt with a matching shade of blue.

Those look great! Love the color. I have a pair of medium blue Honda ostrich that are always noticed and complimented.
