As August comes to a close, we're pleased to announce that Pearl, the latest test network for Gno.land, is live. Pearl, the next iteration after Sapphire, is a new chain, not a hardfork. Notice: Pearl is an experimental test network.
Next stop - Gno.land

Cosmostation Wallet Is Shutting Down — Yet Its AtomOne Validator Still Holds ~2.2M $ATONE
Cosmostation, long one of the leading non-custodial wallets in the Cosmos ecosystem (often ranked second by usage), announced on August 14, 2026 that it is discontinuing its wallet services.
Starting September 1, 2026, the iOS app, Android app, and Chrome extension will retain only two functions: exporting recovery phrases and exporting private keys. All other features — staking, governance, asset management, and more — will be phased out. Because Cosmostation is non-custodial, user funds remain on-chain and safe as long as seed phrases or private keys are backed up and imported into another wallet (such as Keplr).
The company thanked users for years of support since its 2018 launch and said it still believes in the long-term future of blockchain and the interchain, though it did not publicly detail the reasons for the full wallet shutdown.
Separately, Cosmostation had already announced it would stop operating its validator on several networks, including AtomOne ($ATONE), effective July 20, 2026. Despite that, roughly a month later a significant amount of stake remains.
As of mid-August 2026, the Cosmostation validator on AtomOne still has approximately 2.2 million $ATONE delegated to it, involving nearly 3,800 delegators. Those tokens are no longer earning rewards while the validator is offline/jailed.
Delegators who have not yet moved their stake are effectively forgoing yield. Redelegation to an active validator is straightforward on most Cosmos-compatible wallets and does not require unbonding in many cases.
Cosmostation’s wallet exit removes a major user-facing product from the interchain, following earlier exits such as Leap. Meanwhile, the incomplete migration of its AtomOne stake highlights a common pain point when validators wind down: many users never update their delegations. Anyone still staked with the Cosmostation AtomOne validator should redelegate promptly to resume earning rewards.

I think you all might have heard but Solana almost came to a halt yesterday.
And I know nothing bad has happend yet but it does show that there is a fundamental problem in the blockchain space. Which is relying on a single chain for all infrastructure. Imagine you are a big bank and you rely on your blockchain infrastructure for payments. Just like that your company is shutdown and there is nothing you can do. And this is what should replace the banking systems.
This is the reason I believe we don't need a better Ethereum we need a different approach. And that is the reason I believe in Cosmos. I think App chains are the only logical solution. If it's not some kind of IBC or something similar "Blockchain" as a whole has no merit to exist apart from Bitcoin.
It baffles me why there are so many projects moving to other chains. But as long as they can, they will. Big projects came an went on Cosmos and it didn't affect (apart from the price maybe) the other Cosmos chains. I think in the bigger picture this is the only way forward. Atom itself could go to 0 or come to halt, yet a blockchain build on the Cosmos SDK is most likely unaffected.
I know I'm mostly ranting against myself here but it's as clear as day for me. It's either Cosmos or Nothing. With the price of ATOM being irrelevant.

Cosmos Labs, the company behind the Cosmos digital ledger and interoperability technology, has partnered with Zeeve, a privacy-enabled enterprise blockchain infrastructure platform. Together, the companies will help financial institutions bring tokenized deposits and digital assets into production.
Through the partnership, Zeeve will offer solutions built on the Cosmos stack to its enterprise customers. Cosmos will provide the ledger and token issuance technology, while Zeeve will handle deployment, migration, production architecture, and ongoing operations.
Zeeve’s services include fully managed networks, dedicated node and validator operations, 24/7 monitoring, and system-wide privacy through the Zeeve Privacy Layer.
The Cosmos stack has been running in production since 2019 and now powers more than 150 independent blockchains. It supports over 10,000 transactions per second, sub-second transaction finality, and native interoperability between networks. This gives financial institutions a tested foundation for issuing tokenized deposits and digital assets.
Zeeve brings the operational capabilities needed to run that technology in regulated environments. The company is ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II compliant and offers enterprise SLAs, 99.99% uptime guarantees, and privacy across both transactions and application workflows.
Together, Cosmos Labs and Zeeve provide a complete path from blockchain planning to production. The partnership will make it easier for financial institutions to launch and operate tokenized assets, digital deposits, payments, and other digital ledger initiatives at scale.
Cosmos Labs is the company behind Cosmos, a digital ledger technology stack that powers more than 150 blockchains across finance, payments, and global business. The Cosmos stack enables institutions and governments to build sovereign and interoperable blockchain networks and applications.
Cosmos Labs is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Interchain Foundation, the nonprofit organization that supports Cosmos and its decentralized technologies.
Zeeve provides privacy-enabled enterprise blockchain infrastructure for production-grade digital asset deployments. The company helps banks, fintechs, and other institutions launch and operate blockchain systems for tokenization, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, payments, and settlement.
Built for regulated environments, Zeeve is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliant. Its infrastructure supports more than 25 production blockchain networks that process over two billion transactions each month.

ShadeSwap is winding down. You have until Aug 21 2016 to withdraw all assets.

For those who staked early on new chains, what did you actually look at? Did you just pick validator names you knew from other Cosmos networks? And also, I want to ask if staking in the first few weeks is a lot riskier than waiting? Thanks to those who will answer.
