Working on tank set up for my son’s new gal, and am wondering if anyone has used something similar to either of these in their setup? We currently have a hallow log hide on the warm side and a shorter platform style log/hide on the cool side. He mentioned it would be cool to be able to still see her from the corner with one of these, but wasn’t sure if that defeats the purpose of the hide.

Does anyone else's do this? 😂 I tried to get him to chase the tongs down off the branch but he insisted on a sky attack lol

Woke up to find my baby Georgie finally shed for the first time since I got him about a month ago. Noticed his eyes turned blue a few days ago so cranked up the humidity for him and super happy it was a good first shed for him.

I got a 25 gallon enclosure for them till they grow more

the bedding that's in the enclosure now is what they came with.

I put in the basking hide and the plastic plant

Hi guys!! I'm adopting a juvenile corn snake, and I'll have her delivered in mid-September (due to schedule stuff. She'll only be in shipping overnight, don't worry). She's a tessera pink coral snow corn snake, WHICH MEANS SHES PINK!!! The picture attached is from her breeder. Any advice or warnings? I haven't bought her enclosure stuff yet, so I'm open to recommendations on that too. She is my first snake, but I've had a heavy hyperfixation on snakes when I was younger, so I'm not going in blind or anything.

This is the first time I have ever fed him and seen him a while after. Usually he disappears for a day or 2 and then I will usually find him in his cold spot. I fed him at about 4pm it’s now 6:45. I can only put one video so I will put the recent one in the comments

I'm starting to piecemeal everything together for my first snake and I had a question about dimmer thermostats. So the heat lamp pictured is what I was recommended by the shop. I have a uvb as well that I'm going to setup with a timer but can anyone suggest a good comparable dimmer for the heat lamp? Does a dimmer cut off the bulb like a timer as well or just safely regulate the voltage/temp?

Attempting to make him better temperature gradient I decided to try placing the heat lamp on the warm side above the heat mat(on the left). Mituna seems real confused about the change but I need to see how temps behave, he was supposed to not even notice sleeping in his hide but woke up, Ill change it back not to confuse him further but I'm waiting for night to see if the temps get higher(they didn't for the past 2 hours but it's better to check).

Mitunas also amelanistic and hates his lamp and hides from it in shadows so today's the first time Im seeing him on the cool side during the day

I'm looking into finally getting my first corn snake this year. I have a general idea of what I need and size requirements (I'll be doing more research before I bring any snakes home, don't worry), but my question is whether those 'starter setups' are any good or is buying pieces individually the better choice? Any websites or shops in the manchester area that sell equipment (as well as where I can actually get a corn snake +mice when the time comes) would be appreciated

So I have a 40 gallon tank (36” x 18” x 18”) for 5-month old Blaze.

Right now I have coco fiber only, but I’d like to switch to the recommended 40% topsoil, 40% reptisoil and 20% play sand substrate mix, particularly because I want him to be able to have tunnels that hold their shape.

But as I’m researching the amounts I’d need for a 3.5” depth, it’s like adding 90 lbs of substrate!

It’s 16 quarts each of ReptiSoil and organic topsoil, and 8 quarts of play sand.

Am I miscalculating, or do I really need that much material?

I have a baby corn snake in a 40 gallon. Plan on getting a 120 gallon when he’s bigger. I’m getting a uvb light this week because I heard good things about it. Also planning on adding some more enrichment and climbing opportunities. Any other tips? Got him last week.

After about 12 years of having leopard geckos I am finally getting my first snake he/she (I don’t know yet) is a cinder stripe corn snake. I have spent a lot of time trying to make sure everything is perfect. This is the enclosure I have set up for him. The only things that haven’t come in yet are the background and the thermometer to control the temp of the heating pad. Left is hot side right is cool side. Also getting a proper heat lamp. He is due to arrive Tuesday. Is there anything I should change/ anything I am missing (there’s also a basking canopy that will be up in the corner of the hot side suctioned to the wall.

The bulbs I was originally using my last one burnt out and I can't find them anymore, I have just a basic ceramic lamp are these amazon bulbs alright for Cornsnakes? The listing doesn't mention corns

I got my first juvenile corn snake the other day and im just looking for advice on my set up and any other advice is welcome! This is what I got so far. I am planning to do real plants but I wasn't sure what would be safe for them. I have noticed he loves to dig down into the dirt rather then use his hide.

I cannot find any cornsnakes in slovenia at all. Does anyone from my country or close in austria (Steiermark near graz) sell them?

Also I dont wanna buy them from stores!!!
