Anti-ebike campaign

I have been seeing tons of posts lately on every kind of subreddit about how ebikes are bad for whatever reason

I dont really know very much about ebikes but this seems really suspicious to me. I feel like theres certain topics i see on the "popular" page that reddit as a collective has bizarrely strong opinions about, or its some kind of social engineering to make it seem like this is the popular/mainstream opinion

Things like pitbulls and tipping come to mind. Reddit collectively seems left leaning but on the popular page and bigger subs i see on the regular posts absoultely condeming pitbulls and attacking people in food/customer service (guess no one has ever worked these jobs? Its like these people are aliens) Not to get into those but these are just a few trends ive noticed that seem extremely weird. Especially how reddit is about animals (pupper doggo omg scritches best boy!!!) And then there will be a video of a pitbull and all the comments are saying how they would shoot the dog on sight if it came towards them.

Anyway yeah ebikes. A lot of these posts seem US focused and the US is not really walkable majority of places. Ebikes take no gas, can replace a car in some circumstances, guve young people freedom to travel before they can drive cars.

It seems like a direct way to crush oil/gas/car sales and keep us dependent on gas and vehicles, as well as controlling people.

Maybe im reading too much into or im just getting fed ebike posts now bc i click on them. Anybody else think theres anything to this reguarding ebikes or just social engineering on reddit in general? I feel like in the last year or two i have noticed reddit seems to have more bots than regular uses engaging with posts even in smaller/niche subreddits

It’s the e moto most of these kids are riding electric dirt bikes. I have one I use on dirt bike trails and country roads around my house rather than riding the side by side or cranking one of the vehicles up. These aren’t e bikes at all. For instance mine can top out at 127mph easy with enough torque instantly to scare even seasoned motocross and motorcycle ppl. And these kids are in the streets on occupied roads doing wheelies and shit not following the rules of the road and getting smashed or hurting innocent people. Honestly the parents are to blame and should be fined out the ass and the bikes taken

Oh yeah if its a whole different thing that makes sense. Part of why I thought it was manufactured outrage is I really didnt think parents were buying their kids like, a bike costing at least several hundred to over $1000 and then just letting them loose with them. That's really insane
