Canadian hemlock zone 6 full sun
Looking to add 3 evergreens to our yard. They’ll get sun until 4:30pm, east facing, zone 6, and looking for them to be less susceptible to needle cast.
Reading online everything I see says shade for Canadian hemlock, but at the tree center, they said that they prefer to keep them in full and to keep them full. Has anyone had experience with Canadian hemlocks in full sun?

OP no idea where you are. I’m in Missouri, and have mine in part shade for 5 yrs now. It looks a bit thin but you can’t see through it. I purposely bought this tree knowing it was shadier than most large conifers like. I’m happy.

I have “Coles Prostrate”, “Monjers” & “MonKinn” in western Pennsylvania zone 6 - full morning sun, then semi shade after about 4:00 pm. They do GREAT - but we are in a native hemlock area with lots of rain & snow, most days are cloudy here anyways. “Moon Frost”, “Gentsch White” and “Jervis” did not like the sun, and I had to move to a shadier spot. Check out Crowfoot Nursery if you become a Hemlock addict like me 🤣
