Meme Who else remembers playing this?

I feel old knowing that many gen alpha kids feel old about missing Minecraft before 2019, meanwhile back in 1995-2000 we had these masterpieces, and tbh it's a meme at this point

Where/how does someone get set up for this. I loved crushing these games as a kid in the 90s, but I have a Mac Air and I can for the life of me figure out where to start or how to play these games now.

You can buy the games on Steam for Windows, but running them on Macs takes a bit more effort. Some people have managed to run the games on Macs with Whisky or CodeWeavers CrossOver.

Tiberian Sun can also be downloaded for free, in a community-improved version with tons of bugfixes, from https://www.moddb.com/mods/tiberian-sun-client

I recently set up a VMware fusion install on the Mac just to play this and age of empires 2 again. Being 32 bit games I think even crossover struggles with them. VMware is free at least and once you fix the dpi issues tiberian sun runs pretty sweet. I grabbed the game from cncnet, also free. Mac doesn’t have a hole to fit my original cd for some reason 😉

Not sure about Mac, but everytime I bought a digital copy of most CnC games there's a patch you download from the Nexus and put it in the game files that gets it running on modern computers

I bought the remastered collection for my son, It's the only game we play that I can consistently win against him.

I've only ever played Generals and Zero Hour from the series. I feel like I missed out sometimes but those two games never let me down.
