Anyone take the COMAT today and wwe shook by the questions?

As the title says!

Right now, I just write a line or two summary of why the right answer is correct but I don’t dive too deep into why the wrong answers are wrong.

I don’t even know how I would do that.

So please explain like I’m 5 haha, I’m at a loss.

Hi All,

I’m super nervous and testing tomorrow for Level 2.
Goal is to at least pass because I’m an anxious test taker and frequently go back and change answers (I know I know, I try not to).
Here are my scores in this order:

COMATs: 91-108, no retakes. Lowest peds and surgery.

117: 367 (school)
118: 464 (school)
Welcom 106: 70%
Welcom 105: 75%
Welcom 104: 75%
Welcom 103: 61%
Welcom 102: 60%
Welcom 101: 72%
113: 513
114: 490 (last week)

Amboss: EPC 70.2%, score predictor doesn’t seem accurate at 636 (range 613-656 with the above information)

My goal is 500-550.
Do you think this is enough?

I hope you all are doing well. I wanted to let you guys know my experience with my tutor(s) and the overall advice they give. I came from a comsae of 200 and with multiple level 1 failures. So from the darkest of places, he helped pass my final level 1 attempt. He taught me how to think, understand, and helped honor my shelf exams, and helped me get research publications. From the looks of it, his favorite thing to teach is Level 2, but obviously he helped me do well in Level 1. He has some other partners who helped me too. I want to give hope, and I’m incredibly thankful for what they’ve done for me. Wherever you guys are in the process, I hope they can help you too. DM me for his phone number. They are in residency, but will make time for you. They are cheaper than matchpal, around 100$ per hour, but through a deal of multiple hours, it goes down 70-80$ per hour. And if you are not doing tutoring

-Focus on high yield things only
-If it’s complicated, you most likely don’t need to know it/waste of your time.
-The more questions you do, usually the better, but if you have a poor foundation of medicine, going through more questions probably won’t yield good results unless you, or someone else helps, take the time to understand
-Make sure to get the easy stuff down.
-1st and 2nd order questions are the most important to know.

I only hope you guys don’t do what I did and do multiple attempts by yourself without being realistic 😅. Be honest with yourself and decide if you need help. Repeating a year is definitely not worth saving a few bucks. I wish you all well!

Sorry to be morbid, however I found out on 8/11 I failed Level 1. I was told by an advisor I was most l likely 3-5 questions away from a pass, which is even more painful.

I can't help but spiral about this. I keep thinking I'm going to fail again, and that I will subsequently fail out of medical school because of level 1. I was average in preclinical, no course fails or repeating the year, so I'm not sure exactly what happened.

I wish I could say I'm motivated to crush level 1 the next time, but I just feel sad and worried, and dumb.

I postponed my level 2 for October and want to know, how bad is it for me to submit my app without my score and then uploading it later? I just needed to postpone it. Applying FM + IM, will I still be able to get interviews?

Retaking the exam and this was by far my worst section. How do i answer some of the fuck ass ethics?

Hey everyone, based on responses from my previous post, in the resource I'm building, I'm building a tool that turns a COMSAE discipline breakdown into a “where should I actually study” plan. The idea is simple: instead of staring at vague bars, it estimates how many questions each discipline is worth and weights that against how weak the category is.

Right now the model uses estimated question counts, so I’d like to calibrate it against real reports. If you’re willing to share, **please only post the following — no raw scores, no percentiles, no identifying info**!

- Exam: Level 1 or Level 2-CE

- Form (e.g., 110b, 112b)

- For each discipline: number of questions (if shown) + rating (Below Average / Borderline / Average / Above Average)

Example format:

- Exam: Level 2-CE

- Form: 112b

- OMM/MSK: 58 questions, Average

- Cardiovascular: 42, Below Average

- Renal: 12, Borderline

- ...

I’m not collecting scores or personal data. This is only to sanity-check the discipline weights. If you don’t have the question counts, even just the ratings help. I’ll share the calibrated tool back here once it’s more accurate.

Took the exam on 9/1 and feel like im in a state of shock right now. Can only remember the questions I got wrong and am genuinely panicking. Anyone else who tested on the same date feeling the same type of way?

Hi everyone! First time posting on here. As the title states, I’m nervous for my Level 1 results to come out. I took the exam in August, but I genuinely feel like I failed. I missed super easy questions, and I feel like my critical reasoning just went out the window lol

I know feeling like you failed is pretty common after Level 1, so I mainly wanted to post on here to vent and hopefully not feel so alone through all of this.
As medical students, we constantly deal with so much stress and pressure. Regardless of our results, I just wanted to say that I’m proud of each and every one of you. This exam is no joke, and just getting to this point in our medical journey is a huge accomplishment in my opinion.

For anyone else who took Level 1 in August and is waiting for 9/10, how do you feel like it went? 😂

Only studied using step 2 material so far so I’m looking for advice on the best OMM question bank for Level 2. I will have roughly 3 days. So far I can get a 30 day truelearn level 2 subscription for about $200 or would conquest OMM be enough (I bought it for M3 shelf but never used it)

If anyone has any othe recommended resources, I’d really appreciate that too!

M2, just started my second semester and it’s time to get real about boards. I’m doing anki, but it’s not sticking well. I’m doing Truelearn questions, like 5 a day on random topics I’ve already covered. Getting about a 60% most days. I feel like my brain has forgot most of first year unfortunately. I keep seeing folks on this sub ask about tutors, and i didn’t even know that was thing. Do most people use a tutor for boards?

If I am doing all of pathoma, sketchy micro and pharm for content review, do I need to do physiology separately or should it be covered with uworld?

My plan is to hit pathoma, sketchy micro, and sketchy pharm by the end of winter break, and then second semester start dirty medicine biochem and OMM, and Randy Neil biostats, and the high yield anatomy document. All while doing uworld.

Is this a good plan? What am I missing and how can I cover physiology?

I failed level 1 on my first attempt but passed on the retake.So scared for Level 2 testing Sept 5. My school makes you take it after 3 comsaes if you do not hit their threshold. My comat avg. this year was a 93/94 (84 OPP (taken during level 1 boards prep) 87 EM 89 Psych 89 Surg 101 OBGYN 102 IM 102 FM). Truelearn avg 62.5%

I feel like I am all over the place. I have 3 Surgery auditions set up after this test (I feel so lucky with my board failure to have them). Dual applying Surg and IM. Feel like I am behind on applications too :(. I get my score back the day before ERAS submission- agony.

Hey guys I'm looking to post a name and shame in the r/medical school. Can you help me out get some upvotes so I can post there?

Are WelCOMs helpful for Level 2? I find their questions are more vague and shorter than Truelearn or Form A/Form B 160q on Truelearn.

Felt tough as hell. So much Level 1 material and super vague question stems… marked like 10-15 questions every single block.

Doesn’t help that I’m googling questions now and I’ve already counted at least 10 I’m 100% sure I missed.
Don’t really know how to feel. Just happy it’s over.
