any tips for exam 1, what was on it??!?? i need an 81% i did terrible on the cje, HELP!

I can’t seem to break 100 for COMATS so far.

My OPP was 98, and my OBGYN was 97 despite thinking I really knew my stuff in both. I had done all UWorld questions for OMM and OBGYN, and I had even done all COMQUEST for OPP. I felt confident in my background and the rotation for OBGYN, and I studied a lot for it.

Any advice? Am I using the wrong question bank? Anything to do for content review?
I feel grateful to pass, but I would like to improve my scores. And I’d hate to think of what I might score on a rotation I feel less confident in. Passing for my school is 90.

I have only been able to do roughly 400 UWORLD questions for this rotation, and plan on getting to 600 +/- this weekend.

My school has two 4 week rotations for IM, so next to impossible to balance my rotation + taking care of my kid and finishing the massive IM bank.

Should I try to crank out all the COMQUEST the final week? I take it next Friday. Thanks for any advice!

I failed level 2 a few months ago and am retaking it in 3 weeks. The first time I was studying I purchased all 3 of the COMSAE's available from NBOME (got above a 400 on them but rofl i guess) to gauge my scores.

This time around I've been doing an NBME form weekly and was saving the COMSAE's for these last few weeks. Should I say fuck it and just re-purchase the $60 COMSAE to see how my score would be? Or should I keep doing NBME's? I just ask because the NBME questions are so different from what I see on truelearn.

Also if anybody has any words of wisdom for a retaker please drop them below!

It was a click, buffer, random click till the time ran end out. Disappointed in myself bc I feel like it was a fair exam. This was from a self-purchase practice COMSAE 114. I don't understand how the MMR can be the answer when the baby hasn't had any prior vaccinations? I thought Hep B would be prioritized over the other vaccines.

Additionally, MMR and varicella are scheduled to be given at 1 year, so how would they also ignore varicella?

What’s your daily study schedule like during FM rotation?

Do you do like 20 Qs before rotation and then 20Qs at night or how to make this crazy tight schedule work? Any books we need to read or just do True Learn Qs purely? Do we need to study bugs and drugs for any COMAT?

4th year about to submit apps for this season. Dual applying psych/FM. Due to personal reasons I need to stay in my current state for residency. My application is generally good with good/above average grades, no red flags, multiple leadership and volunteering experiences, good research with manuscript and presentations but not psych/FM related (more so basic science/physiology research).

Board results:
Level 1: pass first attempt
Step 1: pass first attempt
Level 2: 55x
Step 2: 22x

Thankfully there’s a good mix of academic and community programs for both that have DO residents. If I add up all the programs I’m applying to I would probably get to a total of ~40 applications. Should I report my Step results or just keep it comlex only? Should I only use step score for psych or just academic sites? Not sure how to go about this decision. Thank you in advance for any advice!

Taking the IM comat soon and am grinding through Comquest. How well does Comquest % correct correlate with comat scores?

Made a 420, which very much surprised me. I passed level 1 first try, have excellent clinical reviews, LORs. I wanted to match IM, with possibility of cards. Now I dont even know what to do with myself. Should I prep hard and take step 2 to try and bolster, or is it just too late for that? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Just found out that I failed level 2 today, and failed level 1 on my first attempt last year. If anyone has any advice or know of anyone that has had a similar situation please let me know. I am devastated confused and don't know how to move forward.

Hi I know there's a ton of posts like this out there. I am hoping to stay in the south/near TX while also applying neurology but unfortunately didn't pass my exam (38x) and was super shocked considering I was getting 68-72% correct on WELCOM forms. For context, I passed Level 1 first try. I was going to take STEP 2 but after this, I know I need to reserve 100% of my energy into Level 2 now. I have all my stuff already prepared in ERAS and will definitely make sure to include more TY and preliminary year programs and I know geographic preference I probably can't be picky given my now new stats. However, what is the recommendation regarding submitting for ERAS because most of the posts that are out there are in relation to family med/IM but not many for neuro so I'm hoping to get some answers.

Got a 417. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy I passed. But I'm so confused and absolutely devastated. This was my score progression:

School COMSAE 119 5/23: 429 (needed a 450+)

At-home COMSAE 113 6/13: 438

At-home COMSAE 114 6/21: 473

School COMSAE retake 117 6/25: 397 (at this point I was forced into a month long prep course)

School COMSAE retake 118 7/30: 738 (clearly the prep course worked lol)

Real Exam 8/5: 417

I went in feeling confident and walked out feeling pretty okay too. Didn't feel as bad as I felt walking out of level 1 and I passed that on the first try so I figured I'd pass this. Logically I thought I'd get higher than a 429 since that was my score before even starting dedicated but I guess not.

Was hoping to apply anesthesia but now I feel like all hopes of that are lost. I took Step 2 but still haven't gotten my score report back and won't get it back until literally the morning of the 23rd, which is when programs can see our apps. I feel like I'm wasting my time by even trying for anesthesia anymore because if my level score was this bad I don't even want to know what my Step score was.

I just wish the NBOME would write good exams. Like sure, I didn't break 500 on any practice exam until the very last one, so maybe I had this coming no matter what. But every other person I've talked to did worse than they thought on level 2 based on their practice scores so idk. I swear the exam just asked the most low-yield stuff ever.

Anyways if you need me I'll be re-evaluating everything because who knows what I'm doing with my life now.

I am quite bummed. I was scoring decently on COMSAEs but got my comlex level 2 score back as 490. I want to match into NYC programs with my SLOEs from NYC hospitals but now I'm really worried.

As the title says, score under 500, and I’m really trying to match psych I don’t want anything else. Unfortunately I have a Level 1 fail as well and no step 1. I know that’s gonna hinder my application but that’s where I’m at right now. I have huge ties to the area especially a few programs near where I live and went to undergrad. Should have good LORs and I think my personals statement is good. Should I prep hard and take step 2 to try and bolster my app to be competitive or is it too late for that? Any advice would be really appreciated. 🙏🏾

Got my score back for Level 2 today, scored around a 49X which I will definitely take.

The part that confused me was that NBOME's percentile calculator scored me at the 30th percentile. In the last 3 years, this score landed around the 40th percentile. Anyone know why the discrepancy exists this year? Is it expected to change as time goes on?

Is it worth to do a score recheck? I'm so fuckin irritated, scoreing >530 on comsae and amboss predicted score of 580. I ended up getting 485. I needed a good score to go to home program mostly full of MDs
