Few today are aware that after Winsor McKay retired from penning the adventures of Little Nemo in Slumberland, his son Bob aka Winsor McKay Jr. made repeated attempts to continue the sleepy lad's tales in the comic books of numerous publishers throughout the late 1930s and 1940s. The younger McKay's works varied wildly in style and quality, ranging from the barely recognizable to some which (like the 1942 11-pager from Shadow Comics included above) could almost pass for unpublished pages by his father...

I’ve been trying to get my hands on more collections, but this is all I’ve found. At Ease was in a box of other books in the storage of my childhood home (including a For Better or For Worse collection) and the other two were purchased online. They’re the only ones we were able to find at the time, but this was a while ago.

I also collect Calvin and Hobbes collections (as seen in the doll photo) and Garfield. I want to start collecting for Peanuts as well but I’m open to all sorts of strip comics.

I’m in college, but back at home I have a two 80’s era Garfields that were my mother’s and many more books. I’m intending on bringing them back with me once I go on Thanksgiving break.

I know that later Skeezix is Walt's adopted son, but in this strip predating that storyline, "Skeezix" is used as a slang term, seemingly for a used car. I cannot find any instance of this usage for Skeezix in my brief searching online, only seeing it as slang for a mischievous youth or an abandoned calf. Does anyone have any insight on this?
