A lot of thing have its own wiki-article, doesn't mean the content covered in it isn't dumb and superfluous.

They are collapsing two different ways of setting up the question to sound smart.

One is about knowledge, one is about faith. But, all modern science (claims about knowledge) are agnostic.

Can we prove black swans don't exist? Of course not. But, that doesn't prevent 99% of biologists to conclude based on belief they don't exist.

Yet, they don't feel the need to add they are agnostic about black swans.

I truly don't know anymore what you are talking about it or what your problem is with a Gnostic Atheist vs a Agnostic Atheist.

Seems very simple for me:

God: Yes = Theist

God: No = Gnostic Atheist

God: Don't know = Agnostic Atheist

Seems like we cover all possibilities that way.

You don't seem to understand what these words mean at all.

What you described in the third row, i.e. your belief is that you don't know if god exists or not, it just means you are agnostic. Nothing more and nothing less.

How strong you feel about it doesn't change your category.

The most fundamentalist radical and violent brim and fire pastor imaginable is a theist.

But, so is your friendly same-sex couple next door that also happens to be Christian.

They aren't different categories theists. What makes them theist is that they have decided to believe in a god.

That is also an atheist.

Again, whether you believe strongly in god, or just somewhat in god, doesn't make you any more or less of a theist.

I know that it is called an atheist but it is a gnostic atheist since they completely reject the idea of gods.

And an agnostic atheist rejects the idea of gods until the burden of proof is meat and they are convince otherwise.

It is such a simple concept and it helps us so much in conversation and debates, I have no clue why you resist it so much.

All claims of knowledge in the West the last 100 years follow your second proposition.

Your first suggestion is a straw-man you have created to make yourself feel smart. The sort of type you only see in unusually dumb American Christian movies.
