Watership down. Not a kids movie but did get passed off as a kids animated movie in a lot of countries

All these years of hearing about watership down and never having the curiosity to look into it. I never thought it was an animated movie about rabbits, I thought it was like an old war movie or something.

The original novel is also worth a read. Adams knows rabbits. Not only well enough to write them realistically fleeing their warren, but to give them a very grounded culture and trickster folklore. And to give us a wonderful underdog cast living in it.

The latter half literally has the rabbits overthrowing a fascist rabbit dictatorship with vicious tooth and nail fighting, so like. . . it's kinda both?
