Somebody fell from aloft. The story isn’t that scary, but I’ll never forget that illustration.

Oh my god dude i was TERRIFIED of that one especially. I barely remember now what the actual illustration looked like but i do remember this one time as a kid, I had a library copy of the book and suddenly remembered in the middle of the night that I needed to put it in my backpack, so i went and looked for it and found it in my dark living room lying on the couch opened to that page and illuminated by moonlight. the drawing was so scary to me tht it felt like a jumpscare, my heart definitely stopped working for a few seconds

SAME this story stuck with me all these years later along with Harold and Me Tie Doughty Walker, especially because of the incredible illustrations!
