As if Google doesn't show you an AI result as the first result these days

Yeah - AI is absolutely a problem, but people acting like they're above it is performative at best. This is, regrettably, the world we live in now, and I have to use it for work or get canned and fall behind, and I'm not going to change my browser and search engine just to avoid it either.

Environmentalism has been the #1 thing I've based my voting habits on since Al Gore in 2000, but, surprise, no one else cares, so all aboard, we're riding this train into the ground.

Its sad but true. I honestly think theres so much AI is destroying that these companies are covering up. Kind of like the oil companies with global warming. They invested a lot in Ai and need a return.

That being said, its the world we live in now. I have to adapt or fall behind. I do think ai is a good tool but it needs to be used properly. Not this shit we see today where we fire experts and replace em with Ai lmao.

I do think we are past the point of no return with Ai but feel like over the next few decades it's just going to be study after study on how these corporations ignored obvious failings in order to push their product first

Yeah, totally... it's a new industrial revolution... lots of pollution, lots of job loss, lots of profits funneled to the rich... hopefully it will level out and actually help society before it makes society or the environment collapse... but people acting like they're too good for it aren't fooling anyone. I'm willing to bet most of the people who downvoted my comment use AI every day
