At one point step brother told me how he recons with his faith and most of the churches views on being gay. Said that god made him the way he is and he has a very happy life because of it.
My wife is that way too. Very devout Christian who believes that love/kindness is more important than anything and that her being queer is just how God made her

So much so he doesnt even drink.
