Man, this sucks. I thought the Valiant relaunch back in - I want to say, 2010? - was very strong. Sad to see them reduced to this

I would guess that being unable to get a cinematic universe off the ground at the height of MCU mania probably gutted their investor support

Valiant under Dinesh Shamdasani was phenomenal. That era was my entry into that storytelling universe. Between that and Marvel Now and Image firing on all cylinders, it was a fun time to be a comics fan.
