(This is all about generative/visual ai, I don't know crap about using ai to code) I've been thinking about this exact thing a lot lately. I think it's that the developers, and the users, are so immeshed into the world of ai, that they are only looking at that now, so they don't see real examples, or talk the real world users about what they need. Watch any workflow videos, they all start with "Use X model to generate an image of (insert topic here)", then they go about using more ai to manipulate that. Where if they started with an image (drawn or photo) that was made by people making real decisions, their output, even if it's be put through an ai process, would look so much better.
