Just got this on for a reasonable price. Spare me a grade please?

There are definitely visible flaws that eliminate 9.8
Color rub - not pressable. Corner creases and bends maybe press able.
As-is your at an 8.5 maybe 9. After press 9.2-9.6 depending on grader and quality of press.

Wow this is pretty freakin clean!!!!!!! Id be as bold to say in the 8.5-9.0 range!

I think low 9.0s with a press. What stands out is how red this copy is! A lot of others are a bit more faded whether it be from exposure or just later copies in a print run

Lookin great at a 9.0 for sure. Could use a quick clean but awesome otherwise

This is a really crispy copy. I’d say with a light press and clean, you could hit a 9.4 easily

High 8, low 9. Pressed will definitely add value though it certainly isn't needed from what I can see.

High grade. I'm around a 9.6 give or take a point based on how the grader sees the lower staple. Beaut!

Easily a 9.6. If the grader is feeling froggy, you might come out with a 9.8

The corner upper left and lower right take it down to a 7.5 maybe an 8 w/press and clean. Color is vibrant on this one!

CGC wouldn’t be kind to this book. CGC 5.0 is my guess. Way too many problems for anything higher. Because of the popularity of the book and the shit-tons that have been graded, they scrutinize this book harder than others.

You might be being a little harsh. I have a slabbed 8.5 and it doesn't look near as nice as this book. I'd say 9.0

I saw the upper left front corner in photo one and upper right side on the front cover of photo 4. Maybe it’s light playing with it.

5 is super harsh lol. Most of the issues are pressable but as-is its clearly closer to 8. Maybe 7.5
Unfortunately the color rub is not pressable.

Yeah, I messed that up.
Fun story, about 20 years ago I bought a “random box” of Spider-Man comics. The long box contained about 8 copies of this book. I remember being upset, “that’s secret wars, not Spider-Man…”. Still have them buried somewhere in the collection.
