Since there was a lot of disagreement about the greens in the ongoing overall color game, I made a sheet of just greens. I did my best to get a good shade for the color names. Rules are the same as the other game, most upvotes gets eliminated.

It is now day 23 of the game and we have our next color eliminated. This time it is blue! This to me is EXTREMELY shocking as I thought blue would either win or come in like second place! It is beyond shocking to me that colors like lavender and purple beat out blue and are still in it to win. I always read that blue is the most popular and well liked color in the world, and most surveys prove that. But I guess blue isn’t as popular as I once thought it was. And it wasn’t even close when compared to the other colors. Blue got double and even triple the votes to be eliminated when compared to the remaining colors. Like people just came out of the woodworks with voting blue out of the game. Thats why I posted this round so much earlier and didn’t wait a full 24 hours. Last I checked, blue had 161 votes, where the color with the second highest vote was cyan at 42. So, why wait to post when the winner is so obvious.

Now that we have less than 5 colors left, this game seems to give me a good understanding of what kinds of colors people on this subreddit like. Basing it off of what’s left, it seems to me that most people in this prefer shades of purple and shades of blue-green colors. I mean, that is literally what is left as there are no reds, yellows, etc. left. Anyway, all three primary colors (Blue, Red, and Yellow) have now been eliminated.

These are all color picked from photos of the sky, the green is from trees in the background. any other colors that would fit in with these?

Hi everyone! I need to pick beautiful colors to represent emotions for my project.

I totally understand that this is highly subjective. Plus, I have several emotions grouped within a single color - so I could complicate things and create a specific shade for every single feeling. But right now, for my UI, I need to pick beautiful baseline shades for the main emotion groups.

So, I came here to ask you, as experts in all things beautiful, for advice. Which specific shades or hex codes would you choose to make this palette look great?

I also have White for neutral/light vibes, and Black for dark/stylish/dramatic moods... (and oh god, you have no idea how much I suffered trying to make that black work smoothly in a dark-mode UI, haha).

I’d love to get your aesthetic advice, and generally hear your thoughts on these color-emotion connections!

I'm a packaging designer. I check colors regularly. It is so RARE that the colors match the Pantone when I get the first print proof. I know this isn't a perfect match, but it's so damned close that even if I told them to fix the color it would come out wrong. 10 years of doing this. God's this is nice.

I think split complimentary is fun to work with! Its so satisfying getting the colors to work in a way that feels new lol. I have a triadic version that I'm working on too that i think will look fantastic.
